Beyond 20-Second Reels: The Real Path to Knowledge and Truth

“Knowledge isn’t something we grab off quick 20-second reels. It’s given, earned through struggle, discipline, and sitting at the feet of real scholars.

Today, in a world obsessed with shortcuts, this truth saves us from deadly mistakes, like running our mouths about religion based on feelings not knowledge or blindly praising the kuffār out of sheer ignorance.

We have to stop pretending we know when we don’t. Learn first. Understand. Only then will our words hit with power and be grounded in Truth. Remember, no true revival ever started from ignorance.”

Mindset of Revival: Sacrifice Is the Price of Spiritual Elevation

Revival Is Not Born in Comfort, It Is Forged Through Fire

Today, the people of Gaza stand as a powerful testament to the fruits of sacrifice. In this life, their resilience stands as a beacon of honour and in the next, they are in Jannah, the eternal home of rest and ease Inshā’Allāh.

“The path to greatness is not paved with ease; it is paved with sacrifice.”

Gratitude in the Shadow of Gaza

Imām Ibn al-Qayyim said: "Shukr is to display the effects of the blessings of Allāh upon the tongue by way of praise and acknowledgement; in the heart by way of witnessing and love; and upon the limbs by way of submission and obedience." See Madārij as-Sālikīn (2/246)

Reflections:

Every meal we eat say Alhamdulillāh. Not out of habit, but from the depths of our soul. In Gaza, families face hunger that doesn’t end.

Be grateful for the privilege of choice. Rice or pasta, meat or chicken, eat-in or takeout, these aren’t rights. These are luxuries. In Gaza, they ask not what to eat, but if they will eat.

Thank Allāh for the safety of our homes and the silence of our nights. While we tuck our children into bed under warm blankets, mothers in Gaza cover their children with their own bodies, shielding them from falling bombs.

Never take your blessings for granted.

Safe, Healthy, Fed, A Gift We Too Often Forget

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Whoever wakes up secure in his home, healthy in his body, and he has his food for the day, it is as if he were given the entire world.”

[Sunan al-Tirmidhī]

”In Gaza, they have none of these, no safety, no healthcare, no food. Yet they stand firm.

What they endure would break many of us today, but Allāh knows they are strong enough to bear it.

Be grateful for what you have, for these are not small mercies, they are, in the words of the Prophet ﷺ, as if the entire world has been given to us.

Let your gratitude lead to Duʿā, awareness, and action.”

Every Pharaoh Has His Sea: Sisi and the Betrayal at the Gates of Gaza

He blocks the bread of children to feed the ego of tyrants and to please the masters who own his leash

The man who blocks the bread of starving children to feed the swollen egos of tyrants and to earn the applause of his Western masters, the ones who hold his leash, fund his throne, and pat his head while Gaza chokes.

Every Pharaoh has his sea. Every tyrant has his end. And every resistance begins with truth.

“How swiftly we forget that the hunger we feel while waiting for a warm meal to be cooked or delivered, while others feel hunger without end.

We grow restless for the dish to be ready, while others do not know if there will be a dish at all.

Yet we rarely pause to say, ‘Alḥamdulillāh.’ O soul, give thanks to Allāh, not only when your plate is full, but also for the mercy that He has never let you taste the silence of an empty table.

For some, hunger is a test for life. For us, it is only a moment.”

The Forgotten Struggle: When Fear Silences a Pillar of Islām

Jihād: Avoiding this topic won’t protect us. It only weakens us

When the knowledge of Jihād is abandoned, confusion spreads. When confusion spreads, fear grows. And when fear grows, people avoid the act altogether, thinking, ‘No one else does this, so why should I?’ or dismissing it as only harm [mafsadah] for the Muslims.

Jihād is not a relic of the past. It is a living, vital part of Islām, misunderstood today only because we turned away from it. The time to reclaim this knowledge is now.

While Their Hands Still Hold Ours

Allāh says,

”…honour your parents. If one or both of them reach old age in your care, never say to them ˹even˺ ‘ugh,’ nor yell at them. Rather, address them respectfully." (17:23)

”In their youth, our parents bore the weight of our world with quiet strength, shielding us from storms, sacrificing sleep for our peace, and giving more than they had.

In their old age, let us honour that love not with grand gestures, but with time, shared meals, soft laughter, and patient presence.

For one day, their voice will fall silent, and their face will live only in memory. Cherish them while they are still here to be cherished.”

The Martyr Never Dies

“The Shuhadā [martyrs] leave behind the blasts of bombs, the fire of war, and the cries of pain, only to dwell in peace as green birds beneath the Throne of their Lord. Their blood writes no tragedy, but triumph.

For the Shahīd is never defeated, in the dunya, he inspires resistance; in the ākhirah, he lives in Jannah. Victory is always his, in life or in death.”

May Allāh accept all the killed in Gaza as Shuhadā. Amīn

Revival Rooted in Knowledge: Addressing the Imbalance in Some Islamic Movements

Without Knowledge, Revival Becomes Emotion-Driven and Risky

A Word of Advice to Those Involved in Islamic Movement Work

Islamic movements that lack firm foundations in knowledge often produce followers who are sincere and dedicated, but lack clear direction. Such individuals may become blind followers of personalities rather than seekers of understanding.

Over time, reliance on individuals takes precedence over learning, and the desire to seek knowledge weakens.

The Hidden Trial of Istidrāj

The Prophet ﷺ said: “If you see Allāh giving a servant what he loves from the worldly life, despite his sinful disobedience, then surely it is luring him to destruction [Istidrāj].”

Then, the Prophet recited the verse, “Thus, when they forgot what they were reminded of, We opened the doors of every good thing for them until, as they rejoiced in what they were given, We seized them suddenly with utter despair.” (6:44) Musnad Aḥmad.

"When you see the oppressor thriving and the sinner unpunished, do not be deceived, this is not divine favour, but Istidrāj: a test where Allāh grants worldly success to the defiant, allowing them to go further astray, luring him to destruction.

It is a gradual reprieve, not mercy, for Allāh delays them only so He may seize them suddenly, when they least expect it.

So do not envy the one who prospers in sin, for when Allāh delays, He does not forget; and when He seizes, none can break free."

Istidrāj: When Allāh Gives and Then Seizes Without Warning

How tyrants throughout history lived in luxury, deceived by worldly success, until Allāh’s inevitable justice caught up with them

Every tyrant who thinks they have escaped justice is only being led closer to their end. Their fall isn’t written by men, it waits in the perfect Decree of Allāh.

“Do not think that Allāh is unaware of what the wrongdoers do. He only delays them until a Day when eyes will stare in horror.” 14:42

Let the stories of the past and the signs of today serve as a reminder: no tyrant escapes, and no injustice lasts.

What is Hasad [Envy] In Islām?

“To envy is to desire the removal of Allāh’s Blessings from their owner. This is the first level of envy.

The second level is to hope misfortune follows the servant.

On this level the envious one wishes that the object [the person] of their envy remains ignorant, poor, weak, and hopes that their heart is separated from Allāh
. - Imām Ibn Qayyim

See Hasad: A Condemnation of Envy and Envious People [pg. 16]

Action Plan:

- Say تَبَارَكَ اللَّهُ - Tabārak Allāh - May Allāh bless you, when you see a blessing on another Muslim.

Mindset:

Love for your fellow Muslim what you love for yourself for the sake of Allāh.

The Rope That Holds You Together

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Verily, this Qur’ān is a rope. One end is in the hand of Allāh and the other end is in your hands. Hold fast to it, for you will never be led astray or ruined ever again.”

Musnad Ahmad. Authenticated by Shaykh Al-Albānī

”In the rush of work, family, and daily demands, don’t let the Qur’ān become forgotten.

This world may distract and exhaust you, but the Qur’ān is the rope of Allāh, your anchor in chaos, your light in darkness.

Even 10 minutes a day can realign your heart with the eternal, pulling you back from the illusion to what truly matters.”
