Well it was also uv-c bulb. It emits a different wavelength of light not blocked out by the purpleish filter.
That picture possibly has an LED uv

Normal UV lights arent great to stare at directly, staring into any source of light for too long will prolly fuck up your eyes, but normal UV lights aren't gonna do much damage at a glance or two.
