Just How Christian Are You?

There is a documentary type of film on Amazon Prime called “Saving Christmas” that I recommend for anyone who has read or heard that Christmas is pagan and why Christians should not celebrate it. While the film is beyond cheesy at times (it’s Kirk Cameron), the facts are quite beautiful.
While doing our own research is good, we also need to recognize that we are living in times when good is portrayed as evil and evil is portrayed as good. The internet has made it easy for the enemy to twist truth (which is defined as wickedness, biblically speaking) and we need to remember that we can’t believe everything we read or hear, just because it’s on the internet. Flying octopus, anyone?
We must ask ourselves what the fruit is. And whereas Christmas is concerned, maybe it’s not Christmas itself that is evil; maybe it is how man uses it. Man, in its sinful, fallen state and its need for a renewed mind has a way of tarnishing that which God gives as pure. It has been this way since the garden, and we cannot forget this or we may believe we are seeing truth, but really there is a snake that is only portraying it as such.
If the fruit that comes to mind when thinking about Christmas contains greed and consumerism, maybe the mind needs to be renewed? Maybe the issue is with us and not with the true meaning of Christmas as God intended it to be?
If the fruit is excitement and celebration regarding the King’s birth, peace on earth, and goodwill toward men, maybe that joy needs to be shared with minds that have learned to see evil in everything, including that which is good. Maybe we need to step away from the Internet and what it says and examine the fruit? Remember, the fruit on the tree of the knowledge of good and evil looked “good enough to eat.” Just because something looks or sounds good does not mean it’s truth. There is only one Truth and His name is Jesus. And if I was His enemy, I would probably be working overtime to convince His people that an opportunity to celebrate His birth (no matter what month He was born) is evil instead of good.
While doing your own research, don’t forget to look at both sides of the debate. If you don’t, your view will become skewed and you may not realize the enemy has stolen something from you, yet again. Watch “Saving Christmas” on Prime. It’s free. And sit with the Father about it.
I personally, after researching and praying about this topic am forever grateful that Emmanuel came to us and am going to take the opportunity to celebrate my King, no matter what the Internet says. The birth of Jesus came long before the Internet was invented and the celebration will last long after it has passed away. Glory to God in the highest!

Do you do any of the five?
Moment of truth: is the issue with other people or is the issue with us? Let’s be honest with ourselves. Until we are honest and invite Jesus into the areas of our hearts and pasts that we don’t even want to look at ourselves, we will continue to suffer and so will the people around us. This does not mean others have no faults of their own; it simply means we are not innocent either and as we take responsibility for our own words and actions, we can have a different harvest that brings forth beauty from ashes.
Sanctification is a lifelong process and the Good News is that Jesus will heal, deliver, and restore every area we allow Him into!

Idk who needs to hear this but as you see social media blow up the next few days with everyone’s highlights, remember it is that: highlights. 😊
No one’s life is perfect. No family is without some sort of drama. No one is totally free from debt and/or bills. We are all flawed human beings who sometimes need snacks and naps, who all get dirty and wake up with bad breath. We all say things we don’t mean and need to apologize later. We are ALL a work in progress and real life is lived beyond the highlights. So don’t forget to SEE the people around you past their flaws, because you have some too and would want them to remember you are human—a work in progress—also. Don’t compare yourself or your life with others; instead, take a moment and thank God for all the good things in your life. Gratitude is a powerful thing. 😊
Merry Christmas, y’all! Praying you have a peaceful Christmas and that you feel the presence of the Holy Spirit wrapping His loving arms around you! Emmanuel: God with us. 🙌🏻

Hey friends, I will be live at 9pm EST on Friday this week with a big announcement.
The Father has been speaking to me about something since last August and I believe the timing to implement what He is showing me in coming up very soon. I am anticipating some resistance from others, and even though I know I don’t need to explain, I want to take an opportunity to share anyway.
BIG changes are coming. And while I am totally nervous about it all, I am also excited for this new adventure the Father is calling me into. I hope to see y’all Friday. Have a great week! 😊
