I did not sleep most of the night. When I tried to, I had recurring dreams of cucumber plants sprouting up from the ground. Strange, I know!

But I have learned that when situations like this happen, the Holy Spirit is trying to show me something. And like a kid who stands over your bedside in the middle of the night until you help them with whatever they need, the Lord is no different! He will continue to bug you until you wake up and listen. 😂

So I got up and asked Him what He wanted me to know about cucumbers. New life? Growth? fruit? Sounds good! Not exactly.

Turning to noscripture, cucumbers speak of turning back to the world, to the pleasures of Egypt. They speak of a city besieged. (Numbers 11:5, Isaiah 1:8)

New growth can be a good thing. But if it is unwanted fruit, it is not!

As most of you know, my family has been battling a stomach virus for two weeks now. And when you are sick, there is a lot of down time. I am very careful about what I watch and read and listen to, because I know these are doorways to the soul. To watch or read or listen to entertainment is not the issue. But getting into a habit of zoning out and watching and reading and listening to something that takes the place of quiet time with Jesus can cause our minds to wander off into another direction. And we may not even realize it!

I have sat with Jesus over the past two weeks. I have things I want to share with y’all but have looked like death most days due to loss of fluids and energy, so those things have yet to be shared.

But with all of this forced rest time, I have been tempted to escape into another world through books and TV again. If you’ve been following me for awhile, you’d know that escapism is something I have battled my entire life. When I’d get too tired, I would turn to fiction and would resurface days or weeks later, struggling to re-enter the real world. I hadn’t read a fiction book in almost two years, but as of a few days ago, I had finished two in two days and was already beginning a third. For me, this was gluttony.

Enter the cucumber dreams and our Good Shepherd’s rod and staff which comfort us.

God is jealous for His people. For our attention, our time, and our affection. He is incredibly patient, never pushy or controlling. He simply pursues us with everything in Him, expecting nothing in return.

But if and when we do choose Him, as with any Bridegroom, He plans to be with us forever. But our own carnal minds, which are in a constant state of sanctification, can lead us astray if we don’t keep our eyes on Him.

A blatant attack from an enemy will cause us to fight back. But what about the subtle lure of an angel of light? An enemy in disguise? These are the most dangerous types of enemy. The kind that will leave us broken, wondering where on earth we went wrong.

“As you listen to me, my beloved child, you will grow in wisdom and your heart will be drawn into understanding, which will empower you to make right decisions. Don’t live in the excesses of drunkenness or gluttony, or waste your life away by partying all the time, because drunkards and gluttons sleep their lives away and end up broke!”
Proverbs 23:19-21 TPT

Drunkenness, gluttony, and partying are only surface level issues that the Bible warns us to be careful of. A glass of wine and/or a nap are not the problem here. The issue is not being sober minded: awake and aware that our enemy lurks like a roaming lion looking for who he can devour. It is casting our gaze at another for a moment too long, and ending up in covenant with someone or something we never would have had we been sober minded.

“Stay far away from prostitutes and you’ll stay far away from the pit of destruction. For sleeping with a promiscuous woman is like falling into a trap that you’ll never be able to escape! Like a robber hiding in the shadows she’s waiting to claim another victim— another husband unfaithful to his wife.”
Proverbs 23:27-28 TPT

A prostitute or a promiscuous woman can be symbolic of something that looks good, sounds good, but will ultimate lead to destruction.

It is compromise, which begins with something as small as a thought, even though we know it would not lead to life. It begins with an excuse, a justification, and/or our “right” to meet a need/want with something other than Jesus. It is not usually something that is planned out, “It just…happened.”

Whatever your vice, remember to submit it daily to King Jesus. Discipline yourself ahead of time so that self-control is available when needed. Be on guard before the temptation comes. Know exactly how you will respond when that angel of light comes knocking and urges you to compromise, just a little. Familiar spirits do not rest, they simply wait for us to want to rest in something other than the arms of Jesus.

Practical application:

Write down which areas you feel you are lacking in right now and ask God to renew your endurance to overcome. Ask Him to give you rest as you take up His yoke and burden which are easy and light. Ask Him to make you aware of any areas you have been contemplating compromise and to give you specific noscriptures to fight those temptations when they arise.

Remember, rest is not the issue; it is whom/what we choose to rest in.

Rest in Jesus, if you do, He will never put you to shame; unlike compromise, which will leave you broken and full of regret.

On July 26th, 2022 I heard the Spirit of the LORD say:

“The splendor of My majesty will be revealed for all to see. The abundance of My love will rain down, will pour down, into cracked basins. Deep below the surface My Saints will come alive. They will walk on dry ground like never before. My people will share the abundance of My love with the world around them. They will be a shining bright light for all the world to see. And those who have laughed and mocked and stood against them will finally see what they have been mocking all this time. It will draw them to their knees. It will draw them to deep places for deep calls unto deep. My Spirit will lead them out of bondage, out of Egypt, and they too will walk on dry ground, for I Am the God of Israel, I Am the Great Redeemer, God of My people. I Am Yahweh. I am the Master of all the universe. I am the King of kings and the LORD of Hosts.

Awaken, oh sleepy ones. Awaken, for it’s time to see. It is time to see what I’ve been doing behind the scenes. For your Great God—although you don’t know me, yet—has been at work behind the scenes so that you could see ME for who I AM. And as the sunshine pours down, as My glory seeps through, as the clouds are lifted and the veil sinks through, My Giants, My People, will stand before judges, they will stand before kings, they will stand before courts, and My favor will follow them wherever they go. For My witness will be with them. My witness will open the eyes of the blind. It will open deaf ears. And those who have stood for corruption will be brought to their knees in repentance. They will flee their seats so that justice can rain. And they will know that there is a God in Israel and His name is Elohim. His name is Yahweh. His name is the King of Majesty. 

Rough waters ahead for those who don’t know Me. But for those who do, for those who have been watching and waiting, you will soar, you will be refreshed and renewed and will run like eagles. For this is the moment for which I have prepared you. This is the moment of reviving. This is the moment where My army marches as ONE, behind their leader, their master, their Commander in Chief, their King of Glory. And as I usher open the gates, as I lift them high and open them wide, My people will run into once dark places and bring the captives back to the light. For nothing will be hidden that has been hidden for there will be nowhere to hide. 

Victory is here, My people. Hear my voice, I Am speaking to you now! For I Am not a man that I should lie. Did I not promise victory? So stand and watch, receive as My forces go riding and unbind the deceived. Watch as we plunder the enemy’s riches, for all the gold and silver is Mine. For I have allowed the best for last. I have allowed the wicked to store what is Mine, to be given back seven-fold and distributed to My people. For many will give unto your bosom, My people, as you feed the ones around you, as you share with them the Good News. So do not worry for provision. Pack light, for I will go ahead of you and prepare each place with more than enough. 

China will fall. Their face at My feet. For though the serpent grew into a dragon, its head is below My heel. 

Afghanistan will resurface, the bindings once observed. But a bark with no bite is not to concern My people, My friends, for those who terrorize are slowly fading, fading, fading. 

Portugal, My eyes are on you. For you once had a rich history of love and service to Me. And that which is dead I will renew and My praises will be heard across the nation, as freedom reigns from darkness to light.

Siberia, do not dismay, I know you are waiting. I know how you travail. I know how you have prayed for deliverance. I have seen inside the quiet places, the mothers who have cried for help. The children whose bellies have swelled with hunger.

Know this: I answer those who look to Me. I care for those who belong to Me. And so, I will care for you. Deliverance is coming. Hold tight. This will not last much longer.

Australia, once a place of exile, now a place of bondage. But soon My hand will move. In but a moment, the ropes will snap, bindings lessened, and My people will roar in the courts with justice, praise, and thanksgiving, as I, the LORD of Hosts, stands with them, AND WIN. 

Judgment will soon come to America, The Beautiful. But do not fear, for My people will be kept safe. My wrath is never for My people, for those who remain in covenant with Me. For the judgement you see will be upon the wicked. Upon the men in high places who oppress the poor, who steal, who are rich by the blood of the innocent. And women: I have not forgotten you, those of you who have sold your soul for more, you will also face My judgment. For you have slain My innocent. You have murdered My prophets. And you have claimed wealth, fame, praise for yourself, and I don’t like that. So prepare to meet your Maker, for the time is short.

I will remove the discouragement from My people and celebration will ring out. I see dancing in the streets and parties that last through noon the next day, as I carry out My plans for all the world to see that I am good on my promises…and that NO ONE is above Me. Get ready, My people, for the ships you see will soon sink, and Pharaoh will drown with them. I, the LORD, have spoken.”

I literally just recapped on very similar prophecies I have been given two nights ago! Are you ready?

-God said “prepare for takeoff” the “blind” are about to see what God has been doing behind the scenes!

-A blackout is coming (read one chapter of John until the lights/communications come back on so that we are in one accord and one spirit). Do not fear! This is the good guys at work!

-We may be kept inside our homes while military law is in place for OUR SAFETY while the bad guys are taken out, not because of a mandate by the bad guys. Stay inside when the good guys announce this so that you are not “caught in the crossfire” (God’s words).

-This is when we get to celebrate the fall of Babylon within our nation, do not fear, rejoice!

-Prepare ahead of time if you have not already: stock up on food, water, and resources (cash, silver, gold) and ask God to multiply whatever you do have to meet your needs. God does not want His people caught in the crossfire when His judgment comes for the wicked.
