- Universities over recruiting leading to a pandemic of midwits that think more like dogmatic memorisation machines than humans
- Monied incentives directing research like Big Pharma funders
- Genius famine from post-industrial dysgenics

I think it's about time I said something about Ted Kaczynski now that he has passed away.

He was undoubtedly a brilliant man, crafty as anything, and much of the predictions he made have come true, and his essay is probably something that ought to be widely read.

That being said though I can't help but wish that he made his name by doing something other than hurting people with bombs.

Tl;dr, MODERN HISTORY: Henry VIII stole the property of the Church, closed the monasteries, and burned the images of Our Lady. His daughter Elizabeth I used her privateers, aka pirates, to steal the gold of the Spanish.

Together, Henry VIII and Elizabeth ensured the collapse of the Hapsburg resistance to the Reformation (although the Hapsburgs were doing their own deals with the Fuggers, which bankrupted them both).

Once the Anglo-Saxons lost their ties to their own tradition with the destruction of their monasteries, they became "white," aka deracinated and "liberal" (see John Locke).
