The Name of the Accused

It’s fascinating to see how the mainstream media is more than willing to identify common people accused of crimes or even badthought – even going to the trouble of spelling out their real names in the event of their stage name being better known – while at the same time staunchly refusing to identify celebrities, […]

🇷🇺⚔️🇺🇦 About the attempted strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Crimean Bridge - @Rybar

Once again, Ukrainian forces attempted to strike Russian targets in the Republic of Crimea.
Anti-aircraft gunners from the 31st Air Defense Division of the Russian Armed Forces intercepted a missile to the north of Taman.
There were no damages or casualties, and the debris fell into the waters of the Azov Sea.

The previous attempt by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to attack the peninsula was in the middle of last month. Thanks to the coordinated work of the air defense units and electronic warfare units, 11 drones were neutralized.

➡️It is unknown what the Ukrainian forces were trying to strike. The Head of Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, stated that it was a cruise missile. However, even at a maximum range of 300 km, Ukrainian aircraft would have to launch it near the front line, which is dangerous due to our air defense operations.

The most probable scenario is the use of a modified missile from the S-200 system, adapted for attacks on a ballistic trajectory. The range of such a missile is approximately 400 km.

ℹ️Interestingly, in this situation, the Ukrainian forces struck shortly after the official acknowledgment of the terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge on October 8, which may indicate their intentions to intensify attacks on this important logistical object.

What Is 'Prompt Engineering', And How Does It Work?

Prompt engineering is a technique used to optimize language models in natural language processing (NLP). It involves creating precise and informative questions or instructions, known as prompts, to direct the behavior and output of AI models. By carefully structuring prompts, users can modify and control the output of AI models. Prompt engineering has gained attention for its ability to enhance the functionality and management of language models. It has evolved over time with the development of transformer-based models, such as OpenAI's generative pre-trained transformer (GPT), and has been used to direct the behavior and output of GPT models.

Wagner PMC fighters evacuated Chinese miners who were in a mine in CAR.

On July 1, it became known about a possible attempt by militants to attack the mine, and then the Chinese embassy in CAR received a request for evacuation. As early as July 2 Russian experts have moved to the area where the mine is located but by then Chinese workers had taken shelter in the jungle out of fear of an attack.

During the night, the "musicians" carried out the operation and found and evacuated all the Chinese to Bambari, where they were provided with accommodation, security and food. Already on July 4 they were all evacuated to Bangui.

A little brain-breaking🤯

It's called an Ellipsograph (or Trammel of Archimedes), and if to look closely, you can notice that each ball is moving in a straight line.

"For veterans of US wars in the Middle East, adapting to an enemy like Russia has proven difficult. Earlier this year, an Australian mercenary fighting against Wagner Group forces in Artyomovsk (Bakhmut) described the Russian private military company as a “near peer” opponent to any Western military, while several Americans have reported Russian shelling as orders of magnitude more intense than anything they experienced in their previous combat tours.

"[The artillery] is nonstop," a former US Marine told ABC News in February. "It's been nonstop. All day and night. The life expectancy is around four hours on the frontline."

“This is my third war I’ve fought in, and this is by far the worst one,” another former Marine toldThe Daily Beast last week. “You’re getting f**king smashed with artillery, tanks. Last week I had a plane drop a bomb next to us, like 300 meters away. It’s horrifying s**t.”

Yorkshire Building Society ‘closed vicar’s account after trans protest’

"An Anglican church leader has accused the Yorkshire Building Society of bullying after it announced that it was closing his account within 14 days when he protested against it allegedly pushing transgender “ideology”.

The Rev Richard Fothergill, who has been with the building society for 17 years, wrote to them online in June, after he was invited to give general feedback.

He insists his message was a polite rebuttal of transgender ideology, which he claims the institution has been actively promoting during Pride month. He received a letter four days later saying that his internet savings account would be closed.

Yorkshire Building Society (YBS) told him in the note, seen by The Times, that it had a “zero tolerance approach to discrimination” and that their relationship had “irrevocably broken down”.

Fothergill, 62, told The Times: “I wasn’t even aware that our relationship had a problem. They are a financial house – they are not there to do social engineering. I think they should concentrate their efforts on managing money, instead of promoting LGBT ideology.

“I know cancel culture exists and this is my first first-hand experience of it. I wouldn’t want this bullying to happen to anyone else.”

Barclays Bank pays out £20k for closing Christian account

"Supported by the Christian Legal Centre, Davidson began a legal claim against the bank, with lawyers claiming that the closure of the accounts was “an act of unlawful discrimination”. The lawyers said Davidson’s professional and public work was undermined by the withdrawal of banking services from the trust and federation on the grounds of his religious beliefs and political views.

The bank “wholly denied” that it discriminated against Davidson “directly or indirectly on the grounds of any religious, philosophical or political belief”. This week, before the case was due to be heard at the High Court, it made a settlement offer of £21,500 in compensation with legal costs to follow, which Davidson accepted. His bank accounts were not reinstated and Barclays has not apologised or admitted liability."

TIL that when Saddam Hussein was hiding in bunkers too deep for any bomb in the US inventory, the US filled an entire 16-foot hardened steel artillery barrel with explosives, welded fins to it and airdropped it, creating the first 'Bunker Buster'. Iraq withdrew from Kuwait the very next day.

The cluster artillery projectiles that the USA will send to Ukraine have a flight range of ~29 km.

If fired from a distance of 7-10 km from the current front line, Ukraine can reach 100% of the 1st line of Russian trench fortifications and 78% of the 2nd line of trench fortifications.

Why Nothing Works Anymore

A former Boieng employee shows how diversity is actively – and literally – destroying US industrial capacity: I quit my job as an Aerodynamicist at Boeing today. Just a week short of ten years. The path to today started back in summer 2021, when a new employee named Jamal (his real name, folks) was assigned […]
