They're reshaping the country, they're reshaping our institutions, around an elite, university-educated minority who simply no longer share the values held by many people, and who often look down on the rest of the country.
I know this because I've been in rooms with them. I've worked in the universities and around Westminster for twenty years. I know how this New Elite think and feel and what they believe. And I've now become convinced that millions of other people out there think the same as me. They’re utterly fed up.
They're fed up with the status quo. They’re fed up with the failure of our political class to change it. And they’re fed up with how —over the last ten years— they were repeatedly promised they were about to get something different only to then be given more and more and more of the same.
This is why most Brits no longer believe the old parties and politicians care about people like them. They’re right to think this way -they don’t.

Israel's Netanyahu rushed to hospital, his office says he felt dizzy and was likely dehydrated

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was rushed on Saturday to a hospital after feeling dizzy, his office said, adding that it appeared the veteran Israeli leader was suffering from dehydration.

Netanyahu, 73, remained at Israel's Sheba Hospital, where he continued to undergo medical tests, his office said.

Professor John Mearsheimer warns Glenn Greenwald that the Ukrainian counteroffensive will result in significant casualties due to the Russian army's overwhelming artillery advantage, air superiority, and the undermanned and undertrained Ukrainian forces.

Professor Mearsheimer elaborates on why he thinks F-16s and ATACMS will not change the course of the war. He also mentions that the US and NATO lack the manufacturing capacity to address the current artillery disparity between Russia and Ukraine.

"The fact is, we do not have the manufacturing capability to produce enough artillery to redress the existing imbalance in artillery between the Russians and the Ukrainians. The Russians, in contrast, have a significant manufacturing capability when it comes to weaponry, and they're pumping out artillery rounds. At a remarkably rapid pace, we can't do that we don't have the manufacturing capability.

And it's going to take us a year or two, maybe even three to spin up that capability. And in the meantime, the Ukrainians are in deep trouble... Not only do the Russians have a major league advantage in artillery, in tanks for that matter, but they also have a major league advantage in population size, which means the number of potential soldiers.

Furthermore, they control the skies, they have a tremendous advantage in air power, and the F-16 is not going to rectify that. So I don't see how it's possible for Ukraine to win this war. I think they're doomed. I think that Ukrainians have foolishly picked a fight with a country that has much more military capability and will therefore win."
