An expert working group, commissioned by Labour's Climate Change Minister, delivered a report this week ....quietly.

Quote:

Where the evidence shows a community is likely to be wiped out in as few as 10 years, that poses an "intolerable level of risk" to the community’s safety or its continued viability. "The only rational response, in the absence of a feasible, cost-effective alternative, will be to relocate the community to a safer place."...

What if you say NO?

"in the final reckoning, it recommends communities be relocated using new legislated emergency powers, with NO RIGHT OF COURT APPEAL."

What are some of the recommendations?

*There should be no appeals to the courts on relocation programmes.

*And the relocation of communities would be comprehensive. At the end of a relocation programme, land in the at-risk area should no longer be allowed to be used

*the working group proposes a far greater degree of central coordination and control of managed retreat than had been previously anticipated

*the ability to change land ownership through the acquisition, and cancelling of noscripts to land, the ability to change uses of relocated land, and the payment of compensation and support to affected people

*a process where authorities (central and local government and private providers) can apply to withdraw services like roads and bridges from a property before or during a planned relocation;

*support to property owners is given on a specified basis, up to a cap per property, and any COSTS above the cap would be BORNE BY THE INDIVIDUAL PROPERTY OWNER.

*MAORI and non-governmental organisations would get the most COMPENSATION then owner-occupied homes

*BACH and holiday home owners should NOT RECEIVE COMPENSATION payments at all, though they might receive some modest assistance with demolition or clean-up costs.

New Peer-Reviewed Study Finds a 74% Reduction in Excess Deaths Among Peruvian Populations Taking Ivermectin in 2020

“Reductions in excess deaths over a period of 30 days after peak deaths averaged 74% in the 10 states with the most intensive IVM use. As determined across all 25 states, these reductions in excess deaths correlated closely with the extent of IVM use (p<0.002).

During four months of IVM use in 2020, before a new president of Peru restricted its use, there was a 14-fold reduction in nationwide excess deaths and then a 13-fold increase in the two months following the restriction of IVM use.”

My grandfather bought our family cottage in 1970. The refrigerator which he brought there was already around 10 years old at that point. It lasted until 2016. Our family got over 46 years of use out of that fridge. When we finally needed to replace it, after taking it apart, my dad was impressed by how well it had been designed.

These days, the average fridge lasts 10-15 years. Not because they can't design a better fridge, but because the company wouldn't make as much money if you only needed to buy one fridge in your lifetime. So, they design them to fail after a decade or so.

Maybe in the 2030s, you'll need to pay a monthly subnoscription fee to use your fridge. We have passed the era when technology was designed to make our lives better. Now it is designed to enslave us to it.
