It's amazing how modern Britons now have fewer rights than medieval serfs. A modern Briton cannot speak freely, fewer can afford to own their own homes and now collecting and burning fire wood is set to become illegal. The only difference between modern living and medieval times is that we now have more creature comforts and better medical care.
