We all know the university system is broken. We all know academics lie, gaslight, and just plain invent history. But what exactly is the mechanism that makes it so? If the ideas that have poisoned our world have originated in academia, what was driving it to produce those ideas?

Academics hate conservatism for a reason, and that reason has nothing to do with conservatism’s validity and everything to do with its relationship to novelty. Conservatism systematically puts academics out of work. There’s only so much demand for intellectuals who are prepared to say “yep, Darwin got it right” or some such thing, whereas in principle there exist infinite untapped markets for idiotic contrarian hot takes.

Crowley's deportation from Fascist Italy

In 1923, the Fascist government of Italy issued a deportation order (according a biographer, approved by Mussolini himself), to deport the Satanist Alistair Crowley from Italy. Crowley had brought his "do whatever you want is the only law" religion to Sicily. Crowley had been among other things, a Kabbalist, Rosicrucian, and Freemason. The "Abbey" had become a site of rituals, orgies and acts against nature. Among those who stayed at the "Abbey of Thelema" was Baron Jacques d'Adelswärd-Fersen, a 20 year long devil-worshipper and homosexual, who brought in funding (he died the same year). When the Government sent word to the Mayor of the town that he ought to drive the sinners away, the local functionary answered—"But they are our only source of revenue."

🇳🇪🇫🇷🇧🇯🇳🇬 ECOWAS quietly demobilizes anti-Niger forces

ECOWAS countries, which only recently threatened to imminently invade Niger over its military coup, have quietly been demobilizing troops mobilized for the proposed invasion.

French state-owned media RFI reports that across West Africa, troops are being told to return to business as usual. Beninese soldiers previously stationed offensively on the Niger border in the north have now returned to their barracks.

In fact, an RFI source from within ECOWAS says that the secret date previously planned for the invasion has already passed.

The chief reason, they say, is that the giant of ECOWAS, Nigeria, was forced to back out despite the wishes of President Bola Tinubu.

As of now, an ECOWAS invasion of Niger appears to be off the table.
