🇺🇲 The US Air Force destroyed a Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile over the Pacific Ocean shortly after launch during a test due to a detected "anomaly".

According to publications in the Western media, the launch of 🛰 Cosmos-2570, the eighth spacecraft of the Lotos type, namely 14F145 Lotos-S1, took place today.

"The Lotos-C(1) satellites are equipped with reception-only radio reconnaissance equipment. They must monitor the waves at different frequencies and pick out signals from ships radars, communication systems, etc. The satellite's onboard equipment allows not only to detect the signal, but also to determine the approximate location of its source".
