TIL about John Birges Sr., who decided to recuperate his heavy gambling losses by planting a bomb in Harvey’s Lake Tahoe Casino to extort $10 million in 1980. The FBI ultimately failed to defuse the bomb “unlike any we’d seen before” and it exploded 34 hours later.

In retrospect, it was obvious, and we should have figured it out sooner.

Immiliteracy and its Consequences

The US military is already losing serious face around the world without even losing a ship, much less an aircraft carrier, in the Middle East: Lost amid all the other news breaking in the last 24 hours is one particularly disturbing story: the United States Navy lost a battle at sea yesterday. CENTCOM put out […]

RE:View – Rome (part I)

Almost twenty years ago HBO swung for the fences and knocked it out of the park with not one but the two best series in the history of that network.  And surprisingly, they were both period pieces. Deadwood I’ll look at another time… Maybe.  Today, we’re talking about Rome. In his book Timeline, Michael Crichton […]

"According to a Monday complaint filed with the university, as well as an analysis by the Washington Free Beacon's Aaron Sibarium, large portions of Charleston's work very clearly appears to have been lifted from others without so much as quotation marks. She even took credit for her own husband's work, according to the report."

"We are billions of people. Let's just stand up and say stop. We will not comply."

Pascal Najadi, son of WEF co-founder, calls for members of the WEF to be arrested for their role in injecting a "bioweapon" into 5.7 billion people, from which he and his mother are now dying.

"It's a democide, and you'll be judged. It will be corrected in the name of humanity."

The underground city of Derinkuyu (Turkey)

One of the largest underground settlements in the world was discovered in 1963.
This amazing city is carved into the rock and goes underground to a depth of about 80 meters, permanently inhabited by 50 thousand people.

Underground city included warehouses, kitchens, weapons rooms, animal stables, rooms for schools and dormitories. There were ventilation shafts, water collection wells and more than 500 different secret exits to the surface. This huge structure still holds many mysteries, as less than half of the city has been explored.

In the forests and rivers that make up the Congo, there is said to be an enormous beast called the Mokele-Mbembe. It was described in detail by a German Captain by the name of Ludwig Freiherr von Stein zu Lausnitz. He conducted searches of the area in 1913 and his denoscription was reported by author Willy Ley.

“The animal is said to be of a brownish-gray color with a smooth skin, its size is approximately that of an elephant; at least that of a hippopotamus. It is said to have a long and very flexible neck and only one tooth but a very long one; some say it is a horn. A few spoke about a long, muscular tail like that of an alligator. Canoes coming near it are said to be doomed; the animal is said to attack the vessels at once and to kill the crews but without eating the bodies. The creature is said to live in the caves that have been washed out by the river in the clay of its shores at sharp bends. It is said to climb the shores even at daytime in search of food; its diet is said to be entirely vegetable.”
