🔶️ At 9:30 p.m. (Baghdad Time) February 7, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces conducted a unilateral strike in Iraq in response to the attacks on U.S. service members, killing a Kata’ib Hezbollah commander responsible for directly planning and participating in attacks on U.S. forces in the region. There are no indications of collateral damage or civilian casualties at this time.
🔶️ The United States will continue to take necessary action to protect our people. We will not hesitate to hold responsible all those who threaten our forces’ safety.

The United States will supply Ukraine with high-precision GLSDB "cruise bombs," but the exact delivery dates will not be confirmed, according to Pentagon spokesman Pat Ryder at a briefing.
Ryder stated, "As for small diameter bombs, as we recognized last year, we will provide them to Ukraine as part of our security assistance efforts. But for security reasons, we are not going to confirm specific dates. The US leaves Ukraine with the right to notify about the supply, and America, in turn, will continue to work to ensure that Ukraine receives and is ready to use American weapons as soon as possible," responding to claims from Politico that Ukraine may receive these weapons on January 31.

🔶️ The UK MoD report did not elaborate on how Russia managed to ramp up production amid biting international sanctions.
🔶️ Russia’s ability to quickly replenish battlefield losses in Ukraine was seemingly confirmed by its defense ministry earlier this year, announcing that it had inducted 1,500 tanks in 2023.
