A Russian space nuke absolutely makes sense in military terms:
A high-altitude Nuclear-EMP creates an electric free field incident powerful enough to damage any microcircuitry onboard satellites (see: Starfish Prime Test), especially modern electronics due to increasingly thin structures (therefore electric breakthrough occurs already at relatively low voltages). We are hardening military systems against such EM incidents by shielding, e.g. on a ship using its hull as a Faraday cage. This can't be done on a satellite due to weight constraints.
First, a space nuke would disable recon satellites, both RF (radio frequency) and EO (electro optical), therefore making command blind. Second, it would disable GPS, therefore severely reducing effectiveness of ballistic and cruise missiles guidance (inertial guidance is drifting over time, losing accuracy over longer distances). Third, communication satellites (military but also commercial such as Starlink) would be disabled, leaving troops without orders in time of crisis. Finally, radars are cluttered for days by charged particles bouncing along earth's magnetic field lines, emitting EMI, making air defense and air operations almost impossible.
It would instantaneously nullify most of the US most powerful military assets. It's the ultimate preemptive strike weapon, so it's clear why they would be concerned.
Of course no WW3 will break out, but instead they will use this to beg for more money (as always) to spend on useless high-altitude air defense systems (mainly LMT & RTX, over years to come).

🇷🇺☢️🚀 October 16th 2023: Russia Warns Western Nations over Space Satellites Used to Help Ukraine
The armed conflict in outer space may be more than just science fiction as Russia has issued a warning that Western space satellites used in conflicts may become a "legitimate target" for Russian strikes.
This remark came from Vladimir Ermakov, the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry’s non-proliferation and arms control department, who criticized Western countries for compromising the sustainability of peaceful space activities by utilizing civilian satellites for military purposes.
He also questioned the legality of using satellites for military purposes, citing concerns within the framework of the 1967 Outer Space Treaty.
The Outer Space Treaty, in effect since October 10, 1967, prohibits the stationing of weapons of mass destruction in outer space and bans military activities on celestial bodies. It establishes binding regulations governing the peaceful exploration and use of space, emphasizing its exclusive use for peaceful purposes.
Russia has long accused Washington and its allies of employing space and aerial reconnaissance assets to provide the Ukrainian Armed Forces with critical information about Russian military activities. According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the orbital constellation comprises approximately 450 satellites, primarily commercial Earth remote sensing and radiotechnical monitoring satellites. These satellites play a pivotal role in target identification, reconnaissance, and intercepting radio communication messages.
In addition to space systems, reconnaissance aircraft, and UAVs, daily flights from air bases in various European countries are utilized to monitor the situation. The data gathered is analyzed by US forces in Europe and NATO to assess Russian troop movements, a crucial component of their strategic military operation. The processed information is then transmitted to the Armed Forces of Ukraine through multiple communication channels, including satellite communications systems like SpaceX's Starlink.

Telegram channel "Russian engineer" about the successful Ukrainian attack on the "Caesar Kunikov":
Regarding the dock landing ship (LSD).
The video of the strike on the ship has already been posted on Western social media, so there is no point in pretending that it does not exist.
If we move away from emotional assessments of who should be kicked out, etc., and go through the technical nuances of this event, we can make the following observations:
First, judging by the video, the LSD was motionless.
Secondly, the naval drone's thermal imager shows people standing quietly on the bridge and deck, so it was not seen.
Thirdly, the attack was carried out, again, by more than one device.
Fourthly, the speed of the naval drone's approach was low, not more than 10 knots at first glance.
A number of conclusions follow from this.
The low speed of the naval drone is necessary for stealth. Obviously, there was no thermal imager on the bridge, or they were not used. The attack was at night time, based on the fact that the approach of the naval drone at low speed would not be detected by the crew.
Thus we can understand the tactics that allowed the owners to destroy already two ships of the Black Sea Fleet - the attack at night on the ships stationary in the open sea, using a modified tactic of "Wolf Pack". I don't need to remind you who is its author.
Another important point - naval drones have a very limited radius of detection of ships, 3-4 km maximum (1.5-2 miles), due to the low altitude of the camera location. Therefore, it is possible to control then by satellite, but without targeting this pack makes no sense. That is most likely they were guided by the Global Hawk which regularly hangs out near the coast of Crimea. And accordingly, the Global Hawk is a direct participant in the attack, which in theory should be suppressed by the fleet's air defense. The detection range of a target from it at an altitude of 16 km is several tens or even up to a hundred kilometers in the optical range, and when conducting electronic intelligence, up to a thousand. This raises the question of maintaining radio silence on LSDs.
And the main conclusion is that speed in the open sea is the main factor of survival. At a speed of even 10 knots, guidance would be complicated, and a stealth attack is impossible. And where are our air and boat patrols? Destroying naval drones is easy, the difficult task is to detect them.

Will Kyiv refuse the transit of Russian gas?
In recent days, the issue of extending the contract between Naftogaz and Gazprom has been especially widely discussed by experts and officials. The statement by the head of Naftogaz, Oleksiy Chernyshov, about plans to suspend cooperation was regarded as very provocative. However, experts agree that this decision is not final, because it is obvious that stopping the transit of Russian LNG could lead to an even greater gas shortage on the European market and a deepening industrial decline, and Brussels is unlikely to agree to this.
It is also unlikely that Kyiv, realizing its dependence on European financial assistance, will disrupt established supply chains and provoke an even greater industrial decline in the EU due to gas shortages. Therefore, there is a great chance that Ukraine and Russia will still be able to reach agreement on this issue.
