An even more blatant departure is Chani, the female Fremen warrior who becomes Paul’s concubine. In the book, she’s fiercely loyal, not so much to her man as to the spiritual promise he represents. She stands there and watches, uneasily, as Paul makes plans to marry the daughter of another gilded imperial family in an attempt to stave off galactic war. But this is 2024, and no vision of female agency is permitted unless it goes full Beyonce and asserts its independence, repeatedly and in the most obvious, performative ways.
Portrayed by Zendaya, Villeneuve’s Chani may as well be wearing a “smash the patriarchy” T-shirt: She quarrels with Paul endlessly, doubts his religious revelations, and is generally a downer. In one notable but inevitable-seeming departure from the novel, she wastes not a second after his proposal to another woman before dashing off, hopping on a sandworm, and riding away to freedom and independence.
Who, after all, in 2024, can imagine a world in which anyone believes in any cause higher than girl power? Who can conceive of a moral order predicated on anything other than the dictates of intersectionality? Not Villeneuve, which means that his Dune: Part Two, as splendid as some of its details are to contemplate, is as completely and utterly sterile as any new luxury hotel in Dubai.

Trudeau’s Canada Threatens LIFE SENTENCES for “Hate”
This is not satire. This is real life 1984.
Life in prison, something traditionally preserved for manslaughter or murder, is now being threatened to those found guilty of “hate.”
Bill C-63 reads:
“Everyone who commits an offense under this act or any other act of Parliament, if the commission of the offense is motivated by hatred based on race, national or ethnic origin, language, color, religion, sex, age, mental or physical disability, sexual orientation or gender identity or expression, is guilty of an indictable offense and liable to imprisonment for life.”
It gets worse.
The new bill bribes citizens to snitch on their fellow Canadians.
The Highwire reported:
“It [C-63 bill] allows someone to make a complaint of a discrimination anonymously … if that hateful complaint is found legit, a maximum of 20,000 [Canadian] dollars goes to that person.”
It’s not hard to imagine the level of abuse that could come from such incentives.
Similar legislation to define and crack down on in-person and online “hate” is being pushed across Europe.
Just recently, in Belgium, former Flemish parliamentarian Dries Van Langenhove was sentenced to one year in prison. The reason for this sentence was for sharing supposedly “racist memes” in a private group chat.

"This flag is originally the flag of Genoa, not of England and indeed it is still used by Genoa today.
Apparently, the real patron saint of England is Edward the Confessor not St George. St George only received that noscript when St George's Windsor was built as part of the celebation of chivalry (which is "Christian power in arms", a strange concept). When French/English King Richard III in 1190 needed safe transport across the Mediterranean to fight the Crusades, he needed a flag that would give him safe passage from pirates. The story is that he did a deal with the King of Genoa, which dominated the sea, to borrow his flag, and it stuck. That is why St George, who is an Eastern saint, is still ours.
The "Genoa" flag is really a sign of the close relationship down the centuries of England and Italy in fighting for Christianity (although the Crusades were not its finest hour). This flag, with added diocesan badge is also the flag of the Church of England. That, too, is an illustration of the close relationship between that Church and Italy. For it was Pietro Vermigli ("Peter Martyr") who founded it along with Cranmer, and the first official service of the Church of England was held in the Italian reformers' church in London, under Edward VI."
