Is Daytime Sleepiness Normal?

Many of us experience the urge to nap during the day, often simply due to not getting enough sleep the night before. If you're slightly sleep-deprived, a short nap of 20-30 minutes can be quite beneficial. However, napping longer might interfere with your ability to fall asleep at night.

Sleep experts recommend keeping the difference in waking times between weekdays and weekends to no more than 1-2 hours. If daytime sleepiness disrupts your night sleep, it's better to endure and adjust your sleeping habits gradually by enforcing a consistent bedtime and wake-up schedule.

Moreover, there are over 60 recognized sleep disorders, several of which manifest as daytime sleepiness. These include conditions like low blood pressure, depression, iron deficiency, and sleep apnea. For instance, individuals with sleep apnea might fall asleep during conversations or even while driving. Age-related changes also play a role in increasing daytime sleepiness.

Stay informed and healthy! 🌟

Before a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Russian Federation launched into space a device with components of a nuclear anti-satellite weapon, — The Wall Street Journal.

The publication cites information from reliable sources who claim that it is the Cosmos-2553 satellite. It does not carry nuclear weapons, but US officials say it carries non-nuclear components of a new Russian weapons system.

This weapon will allow Moscow to use a nuclear explosion to destroy hundreds of satellites in low Earth orbit, "in that part of space dominated by the apparatuses of the US government and the SpaceX company".

According to the publication, "Cosmos-2553" is still moving around the Earth in an "unusual orbit".

There’s Always One

I pointed out a few obvious observations about tattoos at Sigma Game. I know you’ll find this very hard to believe, but one reader shared a personal anecdote that proved those observations are completely unfounded. READER: Huh, my partner has tattoos and also a very good job at an old company with renowned retirement benefits. […]

The Shameless Hypocrisy of Clown World

As always, it is one law for the satanic clowns, another one for everyone else over whom they seek to rule: The US is looking into how it could punish Georgia over a ‘foreign agents’ bill which was recently passed in the country’s parliament, Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in a congressional hearing on […]

Brunel's Suspension Bridge in Clifton, Bristol 1908
Designed by the renowned engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel, the bridge's origins can be traced back to the early 19th century when the notion of spanning the Avon Gorge with a bridge was initially put forward. Following various design competitions and financial challenges, Brunel's pioneering suspension bridge design received approval in 1830.

Nevertheless, the construction encountered several obstacles, including financial shortages and delays, and it was only in 1864, well after Brunel's passing, that the Clifton Suspension Bridge achieved final completion.

In the present day, the Clifton Suspension Bridge stands as an iconic symbol of Bristol and a tribute to the engineering expertise of the Victorian era. Extending throughout 414 metres (1,358 feet) across the gorge and rising to a towering height of 76 metres (250 feet) above the River Avon, the bridge continues to serve as an essential transport conduit while also functioning as a historical and architectural marvel that draws visitors from across the globe.

During a brutal CNN interview aired Wednesday, Joe Biden looked shocked when host Erin Burnett reeled off a list of stats detailing how bad the economy is. Instead of suggesting how he is going to improve the situation, Biden denied any of it was real and claimed every poll showing Americans favouring Trump on the economy is wrong.

The End of an Era

Restaurants closing in 2024: This is what cultural and economic decline looks like. Apparently 60 years of relentless immigration are not, in fact, good for the economy or the traditional culture. I wonder, however, how much of these failures are related to economic contraction, reduced consumer spending, and excessive debt versus the lack of appeal […]
