But it is not a fact that this will happen, since the replacement requires the consent of Biden himself - almost all the delegates at the August Democratic Party convention are for him. The president himself said yesterday that he would continue to participate in the race.

However, if the party follows the path of replacement, then it has ten main candidates:

1. Vice President Kamala Harris
2. Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer
3. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg
4. Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro
5. Colorado Governor Jared Polis
6. California Governor Gavin Newsom
7. Georgia Senator Raphael Warnock
8. Former First Lady Michelle Obama
9. Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar
10. Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear

The publication names Gretchen Whitmer, one of the rising stars of the Democratic Party, as one of the most likely candidates. Another “passing” option is Josh Shapiro, who, according to the newspaper, was being groomed to be the main Democratic candidate by 2028.

One "ideal option" would be Michelle Obama - the former president's wife - but she "has shown no interest in running."

But Vice President Kamala Harris would most likely drop out of the race, since she is “about as unpopular as Biden.”
