"The stories we tell about ourselves, our culture, our mythology, shape us not only as individuals but also as nations. Without them, we have nothing. He who controls the past, controls the present and future after all.

"What is more is that you like what you like. Being ashamed of that is exactly what academia and others wish to do to you, don’t let them have that kind of power over you.

"As to Conan, he is a barbarian it is true, but in each of his stories as pointed out by the brilliant GrimDark from over on Youtube, Conan restores the civilization he comes across to its core values, doing exactly what he needs to, to save it from its own collapse."

When electrical ignorance became a prenoscription for failure: “He sent a stroke of lightning over the cable, which required only a spark.” How the disastrous first transatlantic telegraph cable laid the foundation for a major advance in electromagnetic theory. And how true entrepreneurs find a way to make lemonade from their lemons.

Ever the entrepreneur, Cyrus West Field (1819–1892), co-founder of the Atlantic Telegraph Company, mitigated the losses by selling his excess cable to Tiffany & Co., the famed New York City jewelers, who cut it into short lengths, affixed brass endcaps and a collar reading “Atlantic Telegraph Cable Guaranteed by Tiffany & Co. Broadway New York 1858,” and resold the souvenirs to the public at 50 cents each.

🇷🇺🤝🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿⁉️ — Embassy of Russian Federation in United Kingdom on Twitter/X:

Maria Zakharova’s comment on mass riots in the UK:

➡️ The Foreign Ministry has taken note of the ongoing mass protests in Great Britain in the wake of the July 29 attack against a dancing studio in the city of Southport, which left three minors dead, while several others suffered severe wounds were hospitalised.<...>

➡️ Russia is known for opposing and never allowing itself to meddle into the domestic affairs of other countries.

➡️ This is why our country refrains from lecturing others on ways of overcoming their internal challenges and crises. On the contrary, it is the Western countries, led by the United States, who act this way.

➡️ They would have been better off paying more attention to their own challenges instead of seeking to undermine stability around the world.

➡️ We keep hearing groundless accusations against our country from the United Kingdom for allegedly suppressing dissent and censorship, as well as vociferous calls to adhere to democratic governance practices and respect human rights.

➡️ However, it is now up to the UK authorities and police to stay within the confines of the law. It must be recalled that people have every right to express their disagreement with the government policies.

➡️ In this context, Russia calls on London to refrain from any unjustified or unproportionate use of violence against protestors and ensure their right to freedom of assembly.

CO₂ Emissions Over the U.S. Visualized by NASA

NASA has released a stunning visualization showcasing carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions across the United States. This depiction highlights emissions from both wildfires and human activities, as well as the spread of greenhouse gases. In 2021, the U.S. accounted for more than 12% of global CO₂ emissions. It would be fascinating to see this data on a global scale.

Too Stupid to Survive

If your grandchildren ask you what England was and why it doesn’t exist anymore, remember this picture. Even the Dodo and the American Indian had stronger survival instincts. If these morons genuinely prefer living in third world squalor amongst refugees without racist Europeans around, then why didn’t they simply move to Rwanda or Pakistan? What […]

Fifty years to the day after Richard Nixon’s resignation, newly-unearthed documents show Watergate was a scam from start to finish. Former Nixon White House staffer Geoff Shepard saw it happen.

Shepard joins Tucker to discuss the truth about Watergate and the parallels to what’s currently happening to Donald Trump.

"President Nixon had no prior knowledge of the break-in. Therefore, Dean was protecting himself when he orchestrated the coverup. His own White House Chief of Staff, Haig, never informed the President of relevant developments in the Watergate saga, milestones at which Nixon might have averted both his impeachment and ultimate resignation. In other words, everything you thought you knew about Watergate is wrong."

Triumph is cancelled. The West did not praise it

Western experts and leaders were not delighted by the suicidal self-activity of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region. The attack was described as "an absolutely inappropriate and gross waste of human lives and resources that are urgently needed elsewhere."

That is true. As Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Defense Ministry Valery Gerasimov reported at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, during the attempted offensive, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost 54 armored vehicles, including seven tanks, as well as 315 people, including at least 100 killed. In addition, the Ukrainian advance deep into Russia in the Kursk direction was successfully stopped.

Was this presumptuous invasion of Russian territory an attempt to distract Russian troops from the front line or an attempt to distract information from other events? Or was the target really the nuclear power plant? Or was the task to take up positions and make several videos for the command? Or maybe it was necessary to demonstrate a semblance of activity against the backdrop of constant failures of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the front lines? Or simply to sow panic among the Russians?

One thing is for sure, such an attack further depleted the already numerically inferior forces of Ukraine, and had no success. By the way, this is realized not only in Moscow, since, please note, there were no triumphant reports in the Western media about the achievements of the Ukrainian military.
