"Between 2019 and 2023, about $557 billion of value evaporated from US offices due to a multi-year slide in demand, with older towers quickly falling out of favor with companies, according to an estimate by economists at Columbia and New York universities. CBRE Group noted that only 2% of towers in the US are considered top-tier, with rents 84% higher than the rest of the market."

Durov arrest sparks domino effect of threats to probe and ban Telegram
Telegram CEO Pavel Durov’s arrest in France on a series of dubious charges has opened the floodgates for censorious officials looking to take advantage of the situation to crack down on the platform.
🌏 The EU has reportedly begun a probe into whether Telegram has breached the bloc’s draconian Digital Services Act, which requires online services with over 45 million active monthly users to face higher regulatory scrutiny, ‘disinformation’ and ‘hate speech’ content moderation and requirements to provide requested data to the European Commission. In February, Telegram said it has about 41 million users in the EU.
🌏 German domestic intelligence deputy chief Sinan Selen has accused Telegram of “limited” cooperation with the state in official investigations. Berlin already considered banning Telegram outright in 2022, ostensibly for the violation of ‘hate speech’ laws, but decided on a €5 mln fine instead.
🌏 Danish Justice Minister Peter Hummelgaard said this week that he would “very much like” to ban end-to-end encrypted messaging services like Telegram, as they complicate police efforts against criminals, even though Hummelgaard and over 70 members of the Danish parliament use the services themselves.
🌏 Indonesia is also mulling blocking Telegram, with the potential crackdown related to concerns over the spread of pornography and online gambling. Communication Minister Budi Arie Setiadi said Telegram had offered “inadequate” responses to authorities’ requests on censorship.
🌏 India announced an investigation into Telegram on Sunday, citing concerns over its suspected use by criminals. The app complies with India’s Information Technology Rules legislation, but does not have an office in the country (Durov told Tucker Carlson in April that Telegram only has “about 30 engineers” worldwide), complicating local efforts to regulate it.

The rise of cultural Christianity
Why religion is thriving in a non-believing age.
By Madeleine Davies
“In the 1950s, the key idea was that Britain was a Christian country, and secular society was a really bad idea,” said Brewitt-Taylor. “Because if you go down the secular route, you end up with the Soviet Union. In a Cold War context, that was an extremely powerful framing… The predominant belief was that Christianity underpinned a healthy politics and a healthy society. It was considered the foundation of Western civilisation. It was one of the central reasons why the West had been able to achieve greatness, as they saw it.”
At last year’s National Conservatism Conference in London, James Orr, a professor of the philosophy of religion at Cambridge University, made the case that a “constitutionally and culturally Christian nation” offered the best defence for followers of every faith against a “new progressive theocracy”. National Conservatives kept “banging on about religion”, he explained, because they were alive to the dangers of the new public faith emerging, in which “a new priesthood” was “policing conformity to the new dogmas and doctrines of an elite Gnostic theology”.

An interesting video of an FPV.
Wagner's guys of the "Aida" group flew an FPV at ground level, leaving it practically immobile and letting the enemy MRAP crash into it.
The constant FPS of 60, at such a low altitude indicates that this is a optic fiber guided FPV.

"Why are many successful — and increasingly younger — Canadians interested in exploring becoming non-residents? Well, there are many reasons, including lifestyle, the cost of living and better job markets and opportunities elsewhere.
"Tax is also an issue. Our country’s personal tax rates are punishingly high and increasing, with the recent capital gains inclusion rate hike and amendments to the Alternative Minimum Tax. Capital is very fluid, so many of the people leaving simply deploy their capital elsewhere. Obviously, it’s not that easy for some.
"Overall, though, the biggest cause of successful people leaving is that they feel that they are being attacked in their own country and are not appreciated for all their contributions. Virtually all the files that my colleagues and I have worked on in the past nine years have involved very proud and patriotic Canadians. Many of them are community leaders and very philanthropic, both with their money and their time."

It's time to stem the tide of successful people leaving Canada
There are many successful Canadians who are exploring or outright leaving this country. Reliable statistics are hard to come by, but tax practitioners such as myself have been kept very busy because economic and taxation policies matter, especially the messaging…

AIPAC’s PAC has spent $44.8 million as of the end of July, according to the FEC, with $42 million given to the campaigns of members of Congress and other candidates, as well as to party groups and leadership PACs.
The vast majority of AIPAC PAC’s spending has come in the form of earmarked donations made by individuals in the United States who support the pro-Israel group.
AIPAC’s super PAC, the United Democracy Project (UDP), has spent about $55.4 million so far this election cycle, according to the FEC. More than $35 million of that spending has been on independent expenditures for things like television ads and mailers designed to influence voters, while the rest has been for operating expenses and contributions to other political groups.
