"As background, while the Telecom Bubble was related to the Internet Bubble, it was actually a different phenomenon that started in a different way and ended at a different time. How much capital was lost by investors in the Telecom Bubble is impossible to calculate with certainty. Om Malik wrote a book on this period in which he estimated that $750 billion vanished when the telecom bubble burst. That’s a reasonable estimate in my view. The most interesting questions about a phenomenon like this are always: Why did it happen? What can we learn?"

The 1990s Telecom Bubble. What Can We Learn?
My goal when I started writing this blog post was to write a review of The Startup Way. In this new book Eric Ries writes about the application of Lean Startup principles to established businesses …

"What other conclusion could I or anybody else draw from the woeful, shameful response—lack of response—to the destruction caused by Hurricane Helene?
"Kamala Harris and Joe Biden don’t care about white people.
"There: I said it. Others are saying it too.
"Biden and Harris simply don’t care."

"West Point staffers now routinely violate federal law: The Freedom of Information Act requires citizen queries to be answered within 20 working days, yet the Academy’s FOIA office now willfully ignores the law. Judicial Watch had to sue to force West Point to share course materials promoting Critical Race Theory, DEI and other woke subjects. I and graduate friends of mine have unanswered FOIA requests going back one, two or more years.
"My own FOIA—to determine the fate of cadets who overdosed on fentanyl-laced cocaine on Spring Break two years ago—was completed by West Point in June of this year but now languishes in the “Initial Denial Authority” office at Ft. Belvoir, Virginia, 11 months after it was filed. The “Initial Denial Authority” refuses to respond to or acknowledge my emails and phone calls.
"As a graduate and, more important, as a taxpayer funding these $250,000 educations, I have a right to know what punishment, if any, those drug-abusing cadets received. Did they graduate? Were they expelled and forced to repay their educational costs by serving as enlisted soldiers? Are drug abusers now permitted to serve in the military at all? I don’t know. We don’t know. And West Point and the Army refuse to enlighten us."

🇮🇱🏴☠️ Alarm in Tel Aviv, rockets over Israel
In a post on his X/Twitter account, the Neoconservative politician said:
This is a moment of choosing for the free world regarding Iran.
The Ayatollah and Iranian regime are religious Nazis who want to destroy the state of Israel – their words, not mine. They want to purify Islam and attack the United States – again, their words, not mine.
This missile attack against Israel should be the breaking point and I would urge the Biden Administration to coordinate an overwhelming response with Israel, starting with Iran’s ability to refine oil.
These oil refineries need to be hit and hit hard because that is the source of cash for the regime to perpetrate their terror.
My prayers are with the people of Israel, and may God continue to bless Israel.

🚨 Major dock workers strike in the US: 45,000 affected from Maine to Texas
A strike by 45,000 dockworkers has begun, causing potential economic chaos at an estimated cost of $5 billion per day for the US economy. The International Longshoremen’s Association (ILA) is demanding a 77% pay raise over six years and protection, in face of astronomical cost of living increases under the Biden regime, and job insecurities prompted by automation.
The ILA states that foreign shipping companies are profiting at the expense of American workers, charging skyrocketing fees for container shipments.
Workers are already picketing at major ports, calling for fair contracts. Experts warn this is the first strike at these ports since 1977 to threaten significant supply chain disruptions and inflation spikes.

"They are now charging $30,000 for a full container, a whopping increase from $6,000 per container just a few weeks ago. In just a short time, they went from 6K to 18K, then 24K, and now $30,000. It’s unheard of, and they are doubling their $30,000 fee by stuffing the same container from multiple shippers. They are killing the customers,” the ILA stated.

I like his white pills more than his black pills. Some of them get too dark and creepy for my taste. Cartoonist Bob Moran’s book is available for preorder with shipping world-wide. I compiled a montage for a post I'm going to send to the Based Book list.

The origins of the modern right-to-die movement can be traced back to the Club of Rome’s liberal humanist agenda and concerns about overpopulation and climate change began presenting assisted dying as a humane way to end suffering. More recently, the World Economic Forum has taken up the euthanasia agenda, actively discussing it since at least 2009.
Which countries allow euthanasia?
How did euthanasia laws become more liberal?
When did euthanasia cases open Pandora’s Box?
