"What happened to Nikola Tesla?

"Two main stereotypes are propagated about the great man. One is the mad scientist, the semi-autistic idiot savant, a fragile genius incapable of managing his affairs, the fanatical obsessive who eventually went off the rails and ended up self-defeated and destitute. The other is the mystical Christ-figure, a man from the future, a visitor from Venus, a fallen angel, and so on. In some stories he is the inheritor of mysterious ancient technologies through secret Vatican papers. In others he creates the Tunguska explosion with a stray beam from his famous transmitter tower in New York. It’s a crafted spectrum of travesties and distorting mirrors, self-justifying establishment propaganda to alternately defame or mythologise the man and deflect attention, not just from his achievements, but from science."

Does anyone remember the joy of immersing yourself into a book so much so that the, real, outside world is muted?

Ask anyone on the street what book they are reading right now, and almost no one has an answer.

Is reading dead?

I hope not.

“I too have many reasons to believe that the present quantum theory, in spite of its many successes, is far from the truth. This theory reminds me a little of the system of delusion of an exceedingly intelligent paranoiac concocted of incoherent elements of thought.”

TIL that in 2012, a group of British students edited the Wikpedia article about electric toasters and inserted the false claim that a man named Alan MacMasters invented the toaster in 1893. The fake article was cited by newspapers and other organizations until the hoax was exposed in July 2022.

🇬🇧 UK Army is already becoming a comedy

Daily Mail is outraged and shocked that the British army will soon have only 70,000 soldiers, the smallest number since the Napoleonic wars

The authors of the article did not understand why the army is not bigger. And despite the fact that all state officials are declaring war on Russia.

And the answer is simple - the British will not fight alone. Why, if there are Ukrainians for this? And when they disappeared, it would be Poland or Romania.

And the British themselves think that they will continue to live peacefully on their island while other nations continue to die for their interests.

But that won't last forever...

⚡️🇷🇺🇵🇸 Vladimir Putin: We have always proceeded from the premise that the creation of a Palestinian state should be implemented

"The baseline of our position has been that we need to put into practice the UN Security Council resolution on building two states, Israel and the state of Palestine. It is the root cause of all problems," President Putin said, underlining Russia's position on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

"The reductionist mindset—reductionism in science was at first fruitful but is becoming a mind-block—of randomists is wrong. Their direction of cause is backwards. They envision tinker toys (genes) being put together in various configurations, with genes themselves tinkering the toys. None of this is coherent, as Day (and many others like David Stove, David Berlinski, Stephen Meyer, and so and on) point out."

This is a brilliant summary of how we got where we are, geopolitically. If you do not understand these facts, you do not understand current events.

"The central drama of the last three decades has been the fusion of state and society. The ’89ers ushered in actually existing postliberalism, a society in which governmental power, cultural power, and economic power are coordinated to buttress regime security and punish the impure. 1989 heralded not the triumph of liberalism but its downfall. However, many refuse to recognize—or cannot recognize—how profoundly the West has changed. Our task is to live in the world into which we are thrown, to see it accurately, and to push it in a better direction."

"I was a licensed doctor for 16 years but decided not to renew my practicing certificate in 2021. It was not because I was at retirement age – in fact, I was 39 years old at the time. And it was not the first time this decision had been made in our household. My husband, Dr Mark Bailey, had elected not to renew his licence in 2016, also after 16 years in medical practice. On his last day at work, he urged me to get out of the system as well.

"While I appreciated some of the sinister compliance issues that were creeping into medicine at that time, I also continued to love aspects of my work, particularly the interactions with patients and their families. I worked in hospital medicine, emergency care, and sexual health before settling into a role as a clinical research physician. The popularity I enjoyed with patients expanded to New Zealand network television in 2019 when I was asked to front a new series covering common medical topics.

"The following year, I was sacked from the TV show, asked to sign a “gag order” and the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) began their prosecution attempts against me. Apparently, I was now such a threat to public health that corporate media outlets needed to dissuade people from my publications and social media platforms employed “fact-checkers” to block my videos from wider viewership. What on Earth happened?…"
