📚 I've read this in the book "Unusual Houses of Moscow" by Yulia Egorova:

During the Soviet era, the Theatre of the Russian Army was called the Red Army Theatre, whose symbol was the five-pointed star. However, there is also a legend that Marshal Kliment Voroshilov outlined his ashtray with a pencil and ordered the building to be constructed in that shape. In 1934, the competition for the best project was won by architects Karo Alabyan and Vasily Simbirtsov. The theatre is simply enormous, and even the Small Hall is so large that it accommodates as many as 500 spectators. The Large Hall is designed for 1,520 spectators, and any military equipment, including tanks, can easily drive onto the stage. A special tank entrance has been built at the back of the theatre for this purpose. The theatre is located on Suvorov Square.

"Every bit of media consumed is safe from close scrutiny because it’s enjoyed “ironically.” It’s fandom as an accessory to identity, and it speaks to an attitude of selective seriousness: Everything is worth a laugh, and almost nothing deserves a deep dive. This pose jibes with what author J.D. Cowan has called “irony poisoning.” Instead of a playful gesture; it’s a lifestyle choice affected to mask an aching void where meaning used to be."

🇷🇺🇺🇦The SBU has detained a scientist from Kharkov who is suspected of working for the Russian Federation to improve the "Shaheds".

According to investigators, the 72-year-old mechanical scientist developed designs, in particular, for upgrading engines and catapult systems, disguising them as scientific work in the field of UAVs.

He transmitted the drawings over the Internet through his friend, the CEO of one of the Russian machine-building plants that produces units for drones.

TIL that Halley's Comet was seen in England in 1066, the year of the Norman Conquest, being interpreted as an omen, with a contemporary observer referring to it as a "source of tears to many mothers", portending "the downfall of my country."

This is the video of the destruction of the Challenger that resulted in its turret "flying".

The system used for the destruction of the Anglo tank was a Lancet.
So on the one hand we have decades of the myth of an indestructible tank (basically because it was never used in real battles). On the other hand we have a drone with a small explosive charge and a frankly low penetration capability as we have already discussed on other occasions.
The Lancet flies at a steep angle, turret penetration occurs, the sacrosanct survival systems of NATO tank crews fail.
The ammunition is initiated and the turret blows up.
All great when you consider that Russia produces several times the number of tanks in a month compared to the number of Challengers the UK has in total with 0 new tanks being produced in decades.

"We will not go gently . . ."

This is no small thing, to restore a republic after it has fallen into corruption. I have studied history for years and I cannot recall it ever happening. It may be that our task is impossible. Yet, if we do not try then how will we know it can't be done? And if we do not try, it most certainly won't be done. The Founders' Republic, and the larger war for western civilization, will be lost.

But I tell you this: We will not go gently into that bloody collectivist good night. Indeed, we will make with our defiance such a sound as ALL history from that day forward will be forced to note, even if they despise us in the writing of it.

And when we are gone, the scattered, free survivors hiding in the ruins of our once-great republic will sing of our deeds in forbidden songs, tending the flickering flame of individual liberty until it bursts forth again, as it must, generations later. We will live forever, like the Spartans at Thermopylae, in sacred memory.
