❗️🏴☠️🇹🇷💥🇸🇾 HTS* terrorists have entered the western districts of Aleppo and are advancing rapidly.
The defense of the government forces continues to collapse. There are many reasons for this - the economic crisis after the war was frozen. Resting on the laurels of past victories, and miscalculation that the militants will not use FPV drones and new technologies. And the removal of the most talented commanders from command due to their difficult character and ambitions. But these military leaders were fathers to their soldiers, and did not line their pockets with money.
Yes, many analysts are comparing what is happening to the rapid capture of Mosul in 2014 by ISIS*.
And here I agree. Especially in that such operations do not exclude bribery of senior officials from local security forces. When the average salary in the country can buy 2 kilograms of meat and corruption reigns. And soldiers are given a ration of 2 potatoes and an egg per day.
In 2012, when all of Syria was shaken by terrorist attacks and clashes with militant groups, Aleppo almost fell for this very reason. And for four long years there was a war there.
In any case, what is happening is an axiom of "fixed matches". While some are relaxed, someone is always sharpening a knife to attack. And he strikes at the right moment. This has always been the case and will always be the case in the history of wars.

TIL In January 1944 the Australian 9th Division found the Japanese 20th Division’s entire cryptographic library in New Guinea. The codes were buried in a steel trunk during a retreat and found by engineers looking for mines. This find lead to around 36,000 messages being decrypted in March alone.

🇬🇧🏴☠️ The Financial Times transmits the words of the report to Prime Minister Keir Starmer. It is said that the British army and navy are a fiction with the emblems of an already non-existent empire and the army will last about a couple of weeks in the war.
The main problem of the British army is that no one wants to go there, and the budget is meager.
"The British armed forces have neither the mass, nor the resilience, nor the internal cohesion to wage a prolonged high-intensity war. In the absence of a missile defense system, the country's critical infrastructure is extremely vulnerable… The army has become smaller than at any time since the Napoleonic Wars, the navy cannot afford adequate strike force for its flagship aircraft carriers, and Royal Air Force pilots are deprived of flight training due to budget constraints."
