TIL about The Skeleton Lake of India. In 1942 the skeletons of over 200 people were found in a frozen lake in northern India at a height of 16,000 feet. It is believed they were travelers who died in a freak hailstorm over a thousand years ago.

"As I am sure you have heard, trouble and famine are coming, the war has caused Russia and Ukraine, two of the world's largest food exporters, to stop or partially stop their export flow, why are these two lands so fertile?

"The secret of the plantations, of their success, lies largely in their soil. The most fertile soils for cultivation are generally known as Mollisols, which occupy 7% of the ice-free surface of the Earth."

"Almost no one in Europe knows about the vile, racist roots of Ukrainian nationalism," writes British journalist Peter Hitchens in Mail Online.

"I have never seen such a wave of ignorant sentiments in Europe," he notes.

"The other day I shocked a famous scientist from Oxford by telling her that beautiful, angelic, holy, perfect Ukrainians blocked the water supply to Crimea in 2014," the author writes.

The scientist was shocked by this fact, but it is even more shocking that such an educated British woman did not know anything about it, Hitchens notes.

Also, no one in Europe knows anything about the discrimination of the Russian language, which was carried out by the Kiev authorities.

"If Canada treated French speakers the same way Ukraine treats Russian speakers, it would cause international outrage."

Twitter noticeably and negatively impacted my state of mind. I didn’t like who I was when I used that platform. That’s what happens when surround yourself with demonic people—you don’t drag them up, they drag you down.

The opposite is true on Gab. I am surrounded by God’s people and am motivated, lifted up, and my faith grows stronger. It’s such a stark and clear contrast.

The other day it emerged that Russian and China-based electronics manufacturer and developer Dannie has created a motherboard designed to work with Chinese Zhaoxin processors. The board is called the MBX-Z60A. As far as we know, the company is going to launch a large number of such boards, and Dannie's Russian division, Danny LLC, is responsible for its development, with the motherboard being manufactured in Elektrostal, just outside Moscow. Zhaoxin's processors are generally on par with Intel's 2010s models, not intended for gaming, but in general are perfectly capable of running most civilian office applications.
Mass production of the motherboard will begin at the end of this year, with a monthly production rate of around twelve thousand per month. The Zhaoxin processors, on the other hand, were among those chosen by the Chinese government a few weeks ago to replace all AMD and Intel processors in Chinese government offices and public enterprises.

In English, when we want to sound authoritative we use French (par excellence, coup de grâce, fait accompli, etc.)

When the French want to sound authoritative they quote in Latin.

When the Romans wanted to sound authoritative they quoted in Greek.

When the Greeks wanted to sound authoritative they quoted Homer.

Homer quoted illiterate steppe chieftains.
