‼️🇷🇺 🇺🇳👉🇺🇸🏴☠️🇬🇧 Russia has reason to believe that the US and Great Britain are behind the attack on the Turkish Stream infrastructure. Washington and London are interested in getting the EU hooked on expensive LNG from the US. - Nebenzya said.
Washington and London are interested in getting the EU hooked on expensive LNG from the US.
Other statements by the Russian Permanent Representative to the UN:
▪️We should not forget that it is the US and Britain that are preventing the launch of an objective international investigation into the terrorist attack against Nord Stream;
▪️Zelensky is trying with all his might to prove to his masters that his regime can still wage war.

"How Labeling Cartels ‘Terrorists’ Could Hurt the U.S. Economy" - Maria Abi-Habib, New York Times, 22JAN2025
>Yet, disentangling cartel operations from U.S. interests in Mexico could be immensely complicated. Mexico is the United States’ largest trade partner of goods, and many American companies have manufacturing operations there.
>Even more complicated, these criminal networks have extended their operations far beyond drug trafficking and human smuggling. They are now embedded in a wide swath of the legal economy, from avocado farming to the country’s billion-dollar tourism industry, making it hard to be absolutely sure that American companies are isolated from cartel activities.
>“This has come up in previous administrations across the political spectrum and from members of Congress who have wanted to do it,” said Samantha Sultoon, a senior adviser on sanctions policy and threat finance in the Trump and Biden administrations.

"Most crucially, Huxley emphasized the importance of "gradual" implementation - suggesting that by carefully pacing technological and social changes, resistance could be managed and new control systems normalized over time. This strategy of gradualism, mirroring the Fabian Society's approach, can be seen in everything from the slow erosion of privacy rights to the incremental implementation of digital surveillance systems. His warning about psychological conditioning through media foreshadowed today's social media algorithms and digital behavior modification."

🇺🇦🏴☠️ The Ukrainian Armed Forces will have fiber-optic drones with a range of over 40 km. What should be taken into account?
The Ukrainian Armed Forces have reportedly acquired their first FPV drones with a fiber-optic line range of about 41.4 km. This indicates an increase in additional threats to our units at LBS and operational depths of up to 30-35 km.
Like all fiber-optic UAVs, these products are completely immune to conventional electronic interference and are capable of attacking self-propelled guns and combat vehicles of the Grad and Tornado-G MLRS, armored vehicles advancing from the rear, and civilian transport at firing positions. In the coming months, the Ukrainian Armed Forces plan to assemble about 1,000 of these drones.
🇷🇺 As for the protection of units, in addition to classic electronic warfare systems, there is a demand for the use of a larger number of alternative means of destruction, which include turret rifle systems with shrapnel bullets and thermal imaging sights, high-frequency electromagnetic guns for burning out drone electronics, as well as low- and medium-power laser beam systems for damaging optical-electronic guidance systems of drones on fiber optics. In the near future, these means will become a kind of mainstream in the fight against swarms of small-sized FPV drones.

TIL that in 1990s China, Pizza Hut customers turned “one-trip” salad bars into engineering feats. Using cucumber walls, dense cores of beans or carrots, and alternating layers of lettuce, fruit, and meat, they built towering salads that defied gravity-leading Pizza Hut to ban salad bars entirely.

"It’s an absurd attempt to expand an already-questionable trademark. In fact, the trademark is so questionable that I suspect if Games Workshop were to take anyone to court, even someone infringing upon the protected space of “video computer games, computer software for playing games” it would find itself at risk of losing a trademark it probably should never have been awarded in the first place, just as the Arthur Conan Doyle estate lost its Sherlock Holmes trademark following a misguided attempt to prevent an author from “violating” it."
