Le Bon theorized that the new entity, the "psychological crowd", emerges from the incorporation of the assembled population, not only forming a new body but also creating a collective "unconsciousness". When a group of people comes together and coalesces to form a crowd, there is a "crowd-given magnetic influence" that transmutes each individual's behavior until it is governed by the "group mind." This model treats the crowd as a unit in its composition that robs each individual member of their opinions, values and beliefs; as Le Bon states, "An individual in a crowd is a grain of sand among other grains of sand, which the wind stirs at will."

Individuality Disappears In the Crowd
A crowd is not just a gathering of people, rather a group of people sharing the same sentiment. Le Bon argues that, when people come together as a crowd, their individual intelligence and characters are compromised. Instead, they form a collective mind that makes them think and act. Crowd members acquire a feeling of invincibility that allows them to do things that they wouldn’t do if they are on their own.
Crowds Are Easily Influenced
Given that the crowd forms a singular mind, it can be easily influenced by suggestions. Le Bon believes that a crowd’s mind cannot differentiate the subjective from the objective, and is only capable of thinking in vivid images and simple yet extreme ideas.
Secrets to Persuading the Crowd
After explaining the psychology and motivation behind crowds, Le Bon provides three key characteristics for leaders of crowds.
Affirmation: pure and simple messages that are free of reasoning and proof

I'm actually thankful - really, honest to God - that the Democrats stole the 2020 election.
The Trump we are getting now, in 2025, is leaps and bounds better than what we would have gotten in 2021.
The Pence-to-Vance upgrade is huge on its own. Totally worth it just there.
But now that Trump had an election stolen from him, was unjustly persecuted and prosecuted, and survived their attempt to kill him...
He's unbound. Not messing around. Plus the best people in the MAGA wing of the party had four years to plan this onslaught of Executive Orders and what's going to come. The NeoCons have been crushed. America First is in control.
The Democrats made a massive mistake by rigging the 2020 election against him. Little did they know...
God really writes the best stories. We had to suffer for four years under the puppet Biden regime. But now...now we get this.
And it's incredible.

"Trump ran as a far-right populist during his 2015-2016 run for president, and he was supported by aspects of the elites such as the Clinton’s who encouraged him to run in order to blow up the Republican party (which he had done during his prior run for president in 2000 by undermining the campaign of Pat Buchanan) - everyone including Trump was surprised that he won; he spent his 2017-2020 presidency slowly purging the populist elements, including Steve Bannon, and unsuccessfully trying to accommodate himself to the establishment; he spent 2021-2023 locked in a battle for his life, facing massive criminal and civil charges that could have bankrupted him and put him in prison for life; and then you have the 2024 campaign and the start of Trump’s presidency now, where I contend that Trump completely caved behind closed doors to the upper elites to do whatever they wanted so long as he could win the controlled, rigged election, get rich and avoid prison.1 I covered the Trump campaign, presidency, and his 2020 run for re-election in this three part series which delves into the details of this narrative.
