Maybe you're making too much money from fentanyl, personally, to hold the government's feet to the fire over this disgusting state of affairs? I'd hate to come to such a conclusion. That would be really awful, to suspect that every single member of parliament, yourself included, is testicle-deep in fentanyl money (or perhaps ovaries, in your case? I don't want to disrespect and assume gender).
It's just hard not to have such dark thoughts when Trump has been absolutely crystal clear that this is a major reason for the tariffs, when we all know that there are fentanyl labs all over Canada, when it's common knowledge that Canada's real estate market is distorted by money laundering from the fentanyl trade on a vast scale, and when we see the political class turning a blind eye to it and refusing to do anything at all about a problem that is poisoning our brothers and sisters across the border and rotting our own country out from within.

In contrast, most Western schools discourage competition, prohibiting public announcements of students' grades and rankings. The rationale is understandable — to protect students from pressure or ridicule. However, such measures also predictably demotivate the best students. Victory and defeat are two sides of the same coin. Eliminate the losers — and you eliminate the winners ☯️
For many students, motivation to excel in high school comes from treating it as a competitive game, striving to rank first against strong opponents. Removing transparency in student performance can make school feel meaningless for ambitious teenagers. It’s not surprising that many gifted kids now find competitive gaming more exciting than academics — at least in video games, they can see how each player ranks
Telling all students they are champions, regardless of performance, may seem kind — until you consider how quickly reality will shatter this illusion after graduation. Marco Rubio may still be a foreign policy hawk, but this is the first admission ever from the top brass of a US administration that the US cannot and will not be the dominant unipolar power forever.
