💵 Elon Musk in talks to buy control over OpenAI for $97.4 billion – reports
Elon Musk’s attorney, Marc Toberoff, submitted the acquisition bid for the company overseeing OpenAI, escalating existing tensions with OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, The Wall Street Journal reported.
Toberoff stated that Musk's group of investors is ready to match or surpass any offers that exceed their own, according to the report.
In an X post, Altman replied by declining to sell OpenAI and instead proposed purchasing X for a fraction of Musk's asking price, or $9.74 billion.
