TIL that on October 9, 2022, there was an explosion in space, called a gamma-ray burst, that was at least 549 QUINTILLION times brighter than our Sun! The explosion was so bright that it blinded telescopes, preventing a true measurement of its actual brightness!

"Because of the way human babies are born and how helpless they are for so long, fathers took on roles of caring for toddlers and adolescents, teaching, and supporting children so that mothers could focus on either being pregnant or nursing a newborn. Fathers are the teaching parents. They are the ones that teach the skills that are going to help that child survive when they go out into the world. Because all those environments are different, what they teach is very different from mothers. Mom is there for emotional nourishment; Dad makes you tough to kill."

Sunnis Executed by HTS for Sheltering Alawites
During the brutal massacres carried out by HTS militants—loyal to the sectarian leader Al-Julani—on the Syrian coast, not only were Alawite and Christian civilians targeted, but Sunni families who sheltered Alawites were also slaughtered.
In Baniyas alone, HTS terrorists and affiliated gangs executed approximately 14 Sunni families, their only crime being their humanity—protecting Alawite families from slaughter.
Their sacrifice stands as a testament to true righteousness, resisting the sectarian terrorism of jihadists who have no religion.
Peace be upon their souls.

TIL There was a phenomenon called Souperism during the Irish Famine. Schools were set up in which starving children were fed, on the condition of receiving Protestant religious instruction. However those who “took the soup” were often reviled by their peers, and the stigma lasted past the famine.
