"I was in practice in Yuma, AZ about a five hour drive from Tucson. I always said I hoped I would learn the truth about the JFK hit from some dying mobster on his death bed. As it turned out Joe Bonanno of the East Coast Crime family died in Tucson when I was practicing Orthopaedic Surgery in AZ and I noticed that the whole city fathers and politicos were hugging the family and being seen at the funeral. In looking into Joe Bonanno’s history just out of news interest I discovered he had written a book a couple years before he died. So I bought it and read it. In the middle, tucked away where only thorough readers would find it was his story how the assassination came off. Its a good read. He apparently was in jail with a fellow mobster Johnny Roselli or Rosario who started blabbing about his role in whacking Kennedy. Bonanno kept trying to shut him up, but heard the summation that Johnny R shot from a manhole in front of the motorcade and two other shooters— not Oswald— triangulated from the grassy knoll and book depository. After release, Johnny later was found in cement overshoes in the Gulf of Mexico now America. After reading that I felt I probably had the gist of the truth and could someday die happy. I am not sure why I felt that need but I always thought the official story was nonsense. At age 12 or 13, I remember asking my dad-- “How did that guy get in through all those Texas Rangers to shoot Oswald??
"Maybe a year after I read Bonannos book, I was at a Dallas medical meeting and had never been to the city, so to see the area, I took a run through the downtown. I came upon the grassy knoll and ran into Oliver Stone’s cameraman who was selling his books. He was in between tour groups so I sat and chatted with him for half an hour, and bought his book. In the process, I asked him about the story Joe Bonanno related, and he agreed that was accurate.
"An 80 year old locum tenens Anesthesiologist used to pitch hit in Yuma where he worked rings around the young guys. This doc had been a young Marine who took part in the famous fight out of the encirclement at the Chosin Reservoir—in the dead of a very cold winter. “. The Frozen Chosin”. I could see he was one of those gentle but potentially tough dudes when the situation called for it. Late nights waiting to start a case we told each other stories. He lived right next to one of the big mobsters-- either Trafficante or Giancana, the guys who had casinos in Havana and blamed JFK for the bay of pigs— unjustly as it turned out. The doc told me it was common knowledge in New Orleans that the mob did the hit. Not that they were the only ones involved nor had the primary role or motive.
"Finally, I happened to train at Bethesda Naval Hospital and in 1980 there was still fresh memory of the Pathologists who were involved in the distortion of Kennedy’s remains and autopsy reports. . They were psychologically traumatized and the corporate memory lingered almost two decades later.
"So I eagerly await some new data. We’ll see."

Russians have begun producing Zala UAVs with a built-in anti-aircraft drone evasion system.
According to military radio technology expert Serhii “Flash” Beskrestnov, the developers expect the new Zala Z16 model to execute sharp maneuvers until the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ drone runs out of charge. The entire process relies on machine vision—the computer detects the drone through a camera and, based on its position, issues a command for one of the maneuvers.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces demonstrated how the Russian “evader” system works but noted that it is too early to assess its effectiveness. However, the military acknowledged that this system could help preserve some of the drones.

Ex-Australian lawmaker and journalist George Christensen believes Anglophone intelligence agencies quietly buried damning evidence behind John F Kennedy's murder. He drew attention to Australia's request to remove any mention of its involvement in communications related to threats against JFK or his assassination.
In 1968, Australian intelligence chief Charles Spry requested that Warren Commission document CD-971 – reportedly concerning 1963 calls to the Canberra embassy about a "$100,000 bounty on Kennedy’s head" – remain classified.
Although the CIA dismissed these calls as nonsensical, it agreed with Spry that there was "every reason" to keep them secret. The files were declassified in 1976, but portions of the text remained redacted.
Another call was made to a British reporter in Cambridge just 25 minutes before Kennedy was shot, suggesting someone overseas had prior knowledge. British intelligence informed their US counterparts about the call, but both agencies then buried the information.
Christensen links these exchanges to a document stating that, a day after the assassination, ex-intelligence operative Gary Underhill claimed a small CIA clique was behind it. He was found dead six months later.
The journalist further claims Underhill had ties to Interarmco, a CIA-backed arms dealer, and notes that Interarmco was linked to the store where Lee Harvey Oswald, Kennedy’s killer, purchased the rifle.
Two days after JFK's murder, Oswald was suddenly shot dead by nightclub owner Jack Ruby. Hours after Oswald was killed, FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover wrote a memo urging the agency to "convince the public that Oswald acted alone."
Newly declassified documents also reveal that, rather than investigating JFK’s murder, the US intelligence community was more focused on classifying and destroying records, Christensen emphasizes.
Not covered by Christensen is a 15-page memo noscriptd “CIA Reorganization,” written by a Kennedy aide in 1961, warning that the agency’s growing influence and power had made it "a state within a state." Do you think rogue CIA operatives indeed carry out a coup?
