‼️🇺🇸🏴‍☠️🇺🇦 The New York Times has published an article on the topic of the real depth of cooperation between Western countries and Ukraine since 2022. Judging by what the Americans published, the United States was involved in the war much more widely than previously thought

▪️Two months after the start of the SMO, British special forces evacuated two Ukrainian generals from Kyiv to Poland. At the US base in Wiesbaden, the generals, including Mikhail Zabrodsky, began discussing with the British the first deliveries of Western heavy weapons to Ukraine, such as M777 howitzers and 155mm ammunition. During the visit, they met with US General Christopher Donahue, who proposed cooperation as part of the emerging international support for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. General Zabrodsky, like many Ukrainian officers of his generation, knew the Russian army well. In the 1990s, he graduated from the Military Academy in St. Petersburg and served five years in the Russian Armed Forces. Zabrodsky was also familiar with the American military system: in 2005-2006, he studied at the US Army Command and General Staff College in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas

▪️The United States determined the combat strategy and transmitted intelligence data, including target designations on the battlefield, to the AFU. American intelligence directly influenced the decisions of the Ukrainian command and was effectively integrated into the management of operations. Lists of priority targets were transmitted to the intelligence fusion center, where US officers processed the incoming data and specified the coordinates for strikes. Moreover, the targets were not called targets, but "points of interest" in order to avoid legal consequences and NATO's trace in helping Ukraine

▪️ The first full-fledged combat operation of the Americans in Ukraine was the confrontation with the 58th Army of the Russian Federation in the Kherson region in the summer of 2022

▪️Over time, the partnership began to crack. The course of hostilities began to be determined by rivalry, mutual distrust, and differences in priorities and plans of the parties. Everything degenerated into behind-the-scenes intrigues and undermining

▪️ Washington assessed the invasion of the AFU into the Kursk region as a "significant breach of trust". The key point was not the breach itself, but the fact that, on the orders of Syrsky (Zelensky), reserves allocated by the United States exclusively for the defense of Kharkov were transferred to the region. The transfer took place without coordination with the allies. Despite this, the USA did not suspend aid or revoke permission to use HIMARS

▪️Ukrainians perceived the Americans as patronizing and controlling. They, in turn, did not understand why Kyiv ignored pragmatic recommendations. The US insisted on achieving realistic goals, while Ukraine sought a quick and large-scale victory. For Washington, the priority was to avoid defeat, for Kyiv - to achieve decisive success

▪️ At a critical moment — in the summer of 2023, when the counteroffensive began, hoping to build on the successes of the first year — the strategy developed in Wiesbaden was thwarted by internal conflicts in the Ukrainian leadership. Zelensky sided with a commander who acted contrary to the position of the commander-in-chief, whom Zelensky simultaneously viewed as a potential political rival. As a result, the AFU concentrated their efforts on a pointless campaign for Bakhmut. The counteroffensive fizzled out, ending in a fruitless failure

▪️When American generals offered to help, General Syrsky, the commander of the ground forces, said bluntly: "We are fighting the Russians. You are not. Why should we listen to you?"

▪️In the first weeks of the war, General Donahue and his aides passed information on Russian troop movements to Syrsky. It was this informal connection that revealed internal rivalries in the Ukrainian command: supporters of Commander-in-Chief Zaluzhny believed that Syrsky was using his access to the Americans for personal gain and political advantage.

Capybaras are eaten during Lent in Venezuela because they are considered “fish” by the Vatican.

Sometime between the XVI and XVIII centuries, Venezuelan clergymen wrote to the Vatican with a special request. They had discovered an animal that lived in water, had webbed feet, and tasted like fish.

With Lent approaching, they asked the Vatican to grant the animal the status of fish, so they might eat it during the upcoming days of meat-free fasting.

By letter, the Catholic Church agreed, and the capybara—the largest living rodent in the world—became a coveted addition to many Lenten dinner tables.

Telegram is potentially developing a "frozen" account feature for users violating its Terms and Conditions. Source code analysis suggests that affected accounts would be placed in a read-only state, restricting all actions, including sending messages. Telegram may offer an appeal process via @SpamBot, with account deletion as the consequence if unsuccessful. Profiles of frozen accounts could also display a visual indicator to other users. It's currently unclear if this feature will replace permanent bans. As this is based on pre-release code, all details are subject to change.

"Nixon was watching the scene at the Dallas police station where Jack Ruby shot Oswald, Nixon immediately turned as white as a ghost, explaining that he had personally known the gunman under his birth-name of Rubenstein. While working on a House Committee in 1947, Nixon had been advised by a close ally and prominent mob-lawyer to hire Ruby as an investigator, being told that “he was one of Lyndon Johnson’s boys.” Stone also claims that Nixon once emphasized that although he had long sought the presidency, unlike Johnson “I wasn’t willing to kill for it.”"

⚠️ Injustice: Helen Grus

Helen Grus has been found guilty of discreditable conduct.

Helen Grus, a detective with the Ottawa Police Service's sexual assault and child abuse unit, was found guilty of discreditable conduct on March 26, 2025, for accessing case files to which she wasn't assigned and interfering in an investigation by contacting the father of a deceased infant to inquire about the mother's COVID-19 vaccination status.
Grus initiated an unauthorized project between June 2020 and January 2022, accessing the records management system files of nine infant or child death cases without her investigative role or responsibility. She claimed she suspected a potential link between the COVID-19 vaccine and an increase in infant deaths, believing further investigation was necessary to rule out any adverse effects from the vaccine. However, her actions were deemed to have brought discredit to the police service and undermined the confidence of families in the health and medical community.

"“Essentially, what we’ve discovered is that systems that contain an asymmetry in either electrostatic pressure or some kind of electrostatic divergent field can give a system of a center of mass a non-zero force component,” Buhler told The Debrief. “So, what that basically means is that there’s some underlying physics that can essentially place force on an object should those two constraints be met.”"
