The Convergence Chronicles
In 2015, I pointed out that convergence prevents an organization from being able to perform its primary purpose. And we’ve seen this playing out in diverse organizations from Boeing to Warner Bros. But what is remarkable about this chronicle of the convergence and collapse of a voluntary writing organization by Fandom Pulse is the way […]

NEW BOOK — Le Morte D'Arthur
https://www.imperiumpress.org/shop/le-morte-darthur/
Sir Thomas Malory’s Le Morte d’Arthur is the foundational work of Arthurian legend, shaping Western literature from the Renaissance to today.
The Imperium Press edition includes extensive scholarly annotations, parsing each of Malory’s obscure word choices, bringing the text out of a medieval world and into our own. This definitive edition will ensure that the quest for the Grail, Camelot’s shining promise, and the tragic fall of Arthurian Britain, will all remain profoundly relevant for all time.

The Trump Tariffs
They’re hitting Switzerland harder than we expected, and the UK considerably less than we expected, but this will not interrupt our plans nor is it likely to change our book prices. Lesbos, Mitilene, Hecte
Mytilene was one of the mints that struck electrum coins for a very long time. This hecte from Mytilene, minted around 500 BC, is made of electrum. The coin represents two animals, a roaring lion and a calf's head.
The calf was the emblem of the city of Mytilene. Hence, the lion on the obverse can not be understood as another symbol of the city, but as a divine feature. He was the companion of several gods, like Kybele, Dionysos and Apollon. Since Apollon was Mytilene's main god, the lion on the coin may well be understood as a substitute for Apollon – all the more so as Apollon's bust replaced the lion's head on coins minted later.

So yeah, South Korea is basically a theocratic gynocracy where moon-worshipping feminist witches have ruined everything. The men who’ve had enough and started pushing back have been smeared as “incels,” but they’ve become the most aggressively anti-feminist group in the world. And unless something changes fast, half the population is going to die off because of collapsing birth rates. That country might end up being the first to see a mass rollback of women’s rights.

◾Liberals like to scare people comparing Donald Trump with Vladimir Putin, but are there any similarities between the two leaders? A good example is the relationship with the country's elites and "oligarchs". While in the US the numerous lobbies bribe and buy politicians, one of the first things Putin did as President was to have an educational meeting with the top industrial magnates to make things crystal clear.

Can the United States be trusted with Germany’s gold?
[S]ome politicians in Germany are worried that what was for decades seen as one of the world’s most reliable storehouses might not be so secure after all.
Germany holds the world’s second-largest gold reserves, and keeps 37 percent of them — some 1,236 metric tons, worth €113 billion — in the vaults of the New York Federal Reserve. Those holdings of precious metal guarantee that, should the need ever arise, the Bundesbank has access to something it can change into U.S. dollars (or any other hard currency).
The very idea that they might not be safe would have been considered ridiculous from 1945 ... until a couple of weeks ago. But the certainties of Germany’s postwar existence have been turned on their head and — as the recent scrapping of a notorious cap on public borrowing showed — the unthinkable is suddenly very thinkable indeed. All the more so given evidence of U.S. President Donald Trump’s willingness to push the limits of his powers and assert presidential primacy over the judicial system.
German tabloid Bild, owned by POLITICO parent company Axel Springer, reported on Thursday that outgoing Christian Democratic Union (CDU) lawmaker Marco Wanderwitz is one of those concerned.
Already in 2012, Wanderwitz had unsuccessfully requested to inspect the gold holdings as part of an effort to pressure the bank to either take a more active role as a custodian, or to repatriate it to Germany.
“Of course, the question now arises again,” Wanderwitz said in comments reported by Bild.

The USDA is now giving $50 gift cards to veterinarians for every cow they test for bird flu, they're turning over every rock, with a fraudulent PCR test at 45 cycles, by the way, to find bird flu detritus in healthy cows.
I talked yesterday with a farmer whose family for years raised 40,000 turkeys a year in the commercial industry. "We always had bird flu. Sometimes it would cycle up and you'd lose 10 percent of the flock, but never more than that. Most of the time it just never expressed itself. Now they're checking cows to see if they have bird flu. It's like 'wow, this is a healthy herd; let's test them for bid flu and see how many are sick.'
Killing survivors, which is the current USDA policy, is certifiably insane.
Here's my newest wish for policy: let the owners of the poultry determine their treatment. Right now, government agents with guns can come onto any farm, without a warrant, and kill all your chickens. We're back to mandated covid jabs. Same play book. Same boat crossing the same river. What if I have a chicken that tests positive for bird flu? What if I say "no, don't kill the survivors. Let it run its course; I'll absorb the cost and risk of how many it gets, thank you very much. Nobody has to pay me for anything. Now leave."

Strike in Kryvyi Rih Hit Playground, — President Zelenskyy
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made the statement during a media briefing.
“The strike was a ballistic strike on Kryvyi Rih. The face of the Russians has not changed since the beginning of the war. They struck, they hit a playground,” Zelenskyy told reporters.
Despite evidence and testimony, Russia has denied targeting civilians since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
