Will Trump Put America First?
Simplicius reports on the recent panic in the Israeli media about the possibility that President Trump may have finally given up on the idea that what is good for the Jews is good for Americans, and in doing so, cites Jason Hickel’s apt observation of the obvious: Palestine is the rock on which the West […]

In 1719, prisoners in Paris were offered freedom on the condition that they marry prostitutes and relocate to Louisiana. This was part of a colonization strategy orchestrated by John Law, a Scottish economist and financier who was instrumental in France’s efforts to develop its Louisiana territory.
Facing challenges in attracting voluntary settlers to Louisiana, Law’s Mississippi Company resorted to populating the colony with individuals from the fringes of society. This included prisoners, prostitutes, and other marginalized individuals. In September 1719, male prisoners were released from Parisian jails under the condition that they marry female convicts—many labeled as prostitutes—and emigrate to Louisiana. These couples were often shackled together until they boarded ships bound for the colony.
The women involved, sometimes referred to as “correction girls,” were frequently rounded up from the streets, orphanages, and hospitals. Some were arrested on dubious charges or for minor offenses. The conditions during their forced migration were harsh; many suffered from disease and malnutrition, and a significant number died during the journey or shortly after arrival.
This colonization effort was short-lived. By 1720, due to protests from existing colonists and the evident failure of the scheme, the French government banned such deportations. Nevertheless, a final ship carrying prisoners arrived in 1721.

When Parisian Prisoners Were Offered Freedom if they Agreed to Marry Prostitutes and Move to Mississippi - History Collection
This might sound like some sort of weird passive-aggressive attempt by the French to pull one over on the Americans, but this actually happened back when Louisiana (which was much bigger and included areas that are now part of Mississippi) belonged to the…

What Shakespeare Really Wrote
It’s truly fascinating to see how the Official Shakespeare Story necessarily involves all sorts of conspiracy theories and ignoring nearly all the actual evidence of the documented works, while the so-called “conspiracy theory” that Shakespeare was a lesser author who plagiarized Lord Thomas North is based in rock-solid evidence of every kind, from eyewitness observation […]

JUST IN: 🇺🇸🇨🇳 Scott Bessent has successfully negotiated a TRADE RESET with China during the hours-long meeting today with officials.
TRUMP: "A very good meeting today with China, in Switzerland. Many things discussed, much agreed to. A total reset negotiated in a friendly, but constructive, manner. We want to see, for the good of both China and the U.S., an opening up of China to American business. GREAT PROGRESS MADE!!!”
Talks are supposed to continue TOMORROW.

The Atomic Demolition Munitions were to be detonated within two hours by the U.S. V Corps at Fulda Gap (114 warheads) and Kinzigtal (27 warheads) in prepared shafts to stop the enemy at narrow points (bridges, highways, tunnels) in the event of a Warsaw Pact invasion of West Germany.
The advantages of using nuclear mines were seen in higher efficiency (less manpower, time and explosives required than with conventional charges), as well as in lower strength (and thus less contamination) than with nuclear weapons with delivery systems, since targeting accuracy is not a problem.
The American television company CBS produced the 1981 film "Defense of the United States" (Part 2: "The Nuclear Battlefield"), which focused on the use of the Zebra package.
