Blaise Metreweli, the first woman to lead UK intelligence service MI6, grew up in Hong Kong where her father Constantine was Chair of Diagnostic Radiology at CUHK. He trained as a radiologist in the British army and lived in Ryadh in 1982-85 before moving to the British colony. He left the city in 2003, a few years after the handover.
