"Did I go too far in writing my satire?" I wondered at the time. "Not nearly far enough," I conclude a couple years later.

TIL there's a conspiracy theory in China that says that most of Western history is a hoax. They believe that most of the history of Ancient Rome, Greece and Egypt is fabricated. For instance, they believe Greek sculptures and architecture can't be from that time because "they're too refined"

TIL that during WWII, 14,700 tons of Silver loaned from the US Treasury were used for the circuitry of the Manhattan Project, because there wasn't enough copper due to war-time shortages. All but "thirty six thousandths of one percent" were returned to the US Treasury by June 1st, 1970.

"If there ever was a based libertarian, then Hoppe is it.
"To be clear, Hoppe is not a monarchist. Rather, his argument is that, both from a historical and philosophical standpoint, monarchs are not as bad as elected parliaments. This is because a king’s realm is his private property, and he will therefore want to improve and protect its value. By contrast, a parliament is only responsive to the voters, whose whims are short-term and emotional, and as a result, the country will suffer from the madness of mobs."

Why the USA is Under Pressure
If the talking heads are to be believed, Iran is on the brink of surrender and Israel is all but unscathed. But the world press is skeptical and not even the Wall Street Journal is convinced. Despite claiming major successes against Iran’s military infrastructure, Israel is rapidly depleting its supply of long-range missile interceptors, raising […]

#NEWS | Russia's Yandex Accidentally Exposes Military Sites by Blurring Them
In an attempt to conceal military facilities in Moscow, Russian tech giant Yandex has inadvertently revealed their precise locations. The blurred spots on Yandex Maps, intended to obscure sensitive defense sites, instead act as glaring markers, making these locations easily identifiable.
Meanwhile, Google Maps continues to display these sites without any blurring, leaving them fully visible to the public.

The world can move on without the United States.
100 years ago, the British Empire dominated global trade, owning more than 20% of the world's wealth. Many believed its sun would never set.
200 years ago, France dominated the European stage, its armies feared, its culture envied. Napoleon declared himself immortal.
400 years ago, the Spanish crown ruled from Manila to Mexico, its treasuries bursting with silver and silk. Kings thought their glory would last forever.
Each empire proclaimed itself indispensable. Each was eventually eclipsed.
Power wanes, influence shifts, and legitimacy dies the moment it is taken for granted rather than earned. If America loses the world's respect, it will discover what every fallen empire has learned too late:
The world moves on. Always.
