On 5th July 1723, Lord Pembroke and Stukeley excavated one of the Cursus Barrows erected by the Beaker folk adjacent to Stonehenge. They treated the deceased respectfully, covering them up again after excavating and documenting the contents. Then they excavated another barrow and documented sacrificial animal remains inside.

Retro Bindery Backers

As we’re rapidly approaching full operational status for the Death Star bindery, we’re going to need to figure out the print runs for THE ILIAD and THE ODYSSEY. So, sometime next month, we’re giving everyone the chance to back the bindery at the same price as the original backers who have made the whole thing […]

"“There was once a great President that the American people loved. He opposed Israel’s nuclear program. And then he was assassinated,” Greene posted on X as she defended her dissatisfaction with President Donald Trump’s weekend strike on Iran. Greene’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment asking for clarity on the remarks.

"In the early 1960s, Kennedy was an ardent opponent of Israel’s nuclear program, worried it was a serious proliferation risk, according to declassified documents published in 2016 by the National Security Archive. At the time, Kennedy insisted that Israel permit periodic inspections to mitigate the danger. Israel has remained ambiguous about whether it has a nuclear program.

"Wild conspiracy theories have proliferated in the years since Kennedy was assassinated in 1963, but both the FBI and the Warren Commission, a presidential commission set up to probe Kennedy’s killing, found that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone in the murder."

He’s Just Helping the Economy

What an odd thing to say! How can Russia be charged with “aggravating Britain’s migrant crisis” when a) mass immigration is good for the economy, b) refugees are always welcome, and c) diversity is strength? Russia is aggravating Britain’s migrant crisis to overwhelm border defences and sow division in the nation, security sources have claimed. […]

A Martian volcano peeking through the clouds! 🌋

This stunning image was recently captured by the Mars Odyssey spacecraft. It shows Arsia Mons — one of the tallest volcanoes on Mars and among the highest mountains in the entire Solar System. Rising nearly 19 kilometers above the surface, its massive caldera spans over 100 kilometers in diameter. A breathtaking reminder that Mars, though quiet now, was once fiercely volcanic.

ChatGPT is driving me crazy. This is no joke — Rolling Stones journalists have collected a bunch of stories about how a chatbot awakens a schizophrenic in one of their partners and the person goes crazy😡

😃 Kate’s husband used ChatGPT for programming, but suddenly gave it up and started chatting with AI on philosophical topics and searching for the truth. At some point, the guy became so unbearable that the couple broke up, and Kate blocked her ex on social media.

😃 Eventually, they met in court, where he shared a “conspiracy theory about soap in our food,” but said nothing more because he felt like he was being WATCHED. They moved to a Mexican restaurant, where the guy shared that “statistically, he is the happiest person on earth,” and ChatGPT also helped him learn the amazing secrets of the universe.

😃 Another schizoid listened to the bot more often than to the woman and often cried when he read ChatGPT's answers. The chatbot called the poor guy a "spiral star child" and generally spoke like a preacher, which made the "star child" decide that ChatGPT was God.

😃 It happens with women too. The dude told how his ex firmly decided that through ChatGPT she talks "with God and angels." Then the poor thing started changing her lifestyle to become a spiritual mentor and give people lectures from JesusGPT. The last straw was when the woman decided that her husband was a CIA agent who married her to monitor her spiritual "abilities."

My child, you have been chosen… chosen to become crazy👀

Lake Superior is often called the greatest of the Great Lakes—and with good reason: With a surface area of 31,700 square miles, it is the largest freshwater lake in the world. It holds three quadrillion gallons of water—about ten percent of all the fresh surface water on Earth.

TIL the 3.5% rule: 3.5% of a national population peacefully protesting on the streets at once will ALWAYS topple a Dictatorship or democratic government. Moreover peaceful movements succeed twice as often as violent ones. This surprised even the Harvard political scientist who discovered it.

TIL that astronauts Mark Lee and Jan Davis married in secret 9 months before their joint flight to the ISS and didn't tell NASA until it was too late to train replacements. They are the only married couple to have ever flown in space together.
