‼️🇬🇧🏴☠️ The grandfather of the future head of the British Foreign Intelligence Service MI6, Blaise Metreveli, Konstantin Dobrovolsky, was a 🇩🇪 🇺🇦 Nazi collaborator from the German-occupied Ukrainian city of Chernigov, nicknamed the Butcher.
This was reported by The Daily Mail, whose journalists studied documents stored in the archives of the German city of Freiburg.
Dobrovolsky immediately enlisted in the Red Army in order to go over to the German side at the first opportunity, on August 4, 1941. In September of the same year, the 2nd German Army occupied Chernigov.
Dobrovolsky began serving for the enemy in an SS tank detachment. He also "personally took part in actions on the front line near Kyiv in the extermination of Jews", Russians and Ukrainians. He boasted that he personally "cleansed" several areas of "undesirable elements". The German archives cited in the article contain notes from a witness who visited Dobrovolsky's house at the time and describes the carpets, tablecloths, and fur coats he saw there, stolen during the execution of the Jewish population in Ponornitz.
Virtually nothing is known about 47-year-old Blaze Metreveli, who will become the first woman to head MI6 in September, since information about her is classified.
