"Ernst Mach" - wiki
"Logical Positivism" - wiki

>As a philosopher of science, he was a major influence on logical positivism and American pragmatism. Through his criticism of Isaac Newton's theories of space and time, he foreshadowed Albert Einstein's theory of relativity.

>Mach was baptised by Peregrin Weiss. Mach later became a socialist and an atheist, but his theory and life was sometimes compared to Buddhism. Heinrich Gomperz called Mach the "Buddha of Science" because of his phenomenalist approach to the "Ego" in his Analysis of Sensations.

>In 1901, Mach accepted an appointment to the Austrian House of Lords but declined a nobility because he thought it inappropriate for a scientist to accept such a thing. He was on good personal terms with the Social Democrat politician Viktor Adler and left money in his will to the Social Democrat newspaper Arbeiter-Zeitung.

>Born to a liberal family, Mach lamented that a "very reactionary-clerical" period followed the 1848 revolutions, prompting him to plan to emigrate to America, although he never did.

>Mach was critical of the European powers' colonial conquests, saying that they "will constitute...the most distasteful chapter of history for coming generations".

>One of the best-known of Mach's ideas is the so-called Mach principle, the physical origin of inertia. This was never written down by Mach, but was given a graphic verbal form, attributed by Philipp Frank to Mach: "When the subway jerks, it's the fixed stars that throw you down."

>Mach's principle (or Mach's conjecture) is the name given by Albert Einstein to an imprecise hypothesis often credited to the physicist and philosopher Ernst Mach.

>Because intuitive notions of distance and time no longer apply, what exactly is meant by "Mach's principle" in general relativity is even less clear than in Newtonian physics

>Mach was also well known for his philosophy, developed in close interplay with his science. He defended a type of phenomenalism, recognizing only sensations as real. That position seemed incompatible with the view of atoms and molecules as external, mind-independent things. After an 1897 lecture by Ludwig Boltzmann at the Imperial Academy of Science in Vienna, Mach said, "I don't believe that atoms exist!"

>Mach's positivism influenced many Russian Marxists, such as Alexander Bogdanov. In 1908, Lenin wrote a philosophical work, Materialism and Empirio-criticism, in which he criticized Machism and the views of "Russian Machists".

>In accordance with empirio-critical philosophy, Mach opposed Ludwig Boltzmann and others who proposed an atomic theory of physics. Since one cannot observe things as small as atoms directly, and since no atomic model at the time was consistent, the atomic hypothesis seemed unwarranted to Mach, and perhaps not sufficiently "economical".

>Principles of "Machian physics":

• It should be based entirely on directly observable phenomena (in line with his positivistic leanings)
• It should completely eschew absolute space and time in favour of relative motion
Any phenomena that seem attributable to absolute space and time (e.g., inertia and centrifugal force) should instead be seen as emerging from the distribution of matter in the universe.

>The last is singled out, particularly by Einstein, as "the" Mach's principle. Einstein cited it as one of the three principles underlying general relativity. In 1930, he wrote, "it is justified to consider Mach as the precursor of the general theory of relativity" and "the whole direction of thought of this theory conforms with Mach's". Einstein further reported that he had read David Hume and Mach's work "with eagerness and admiration shortly before finding relativity theory" and that "very possibly, I wouldn't have come to the solution without those philosophical studies".

Marjorie Taylor Greene just dropped a bombshell on Tucker Carlson—claiming members of Congress are essentially forced to pledge loyalty to Israel.

According to her, lawmakers are expected to constantly declare that “Israel is our greatest ally” and publicly show their support, both on social media and in person.

She says it’s become so routine and noscripted, it’s impossible not to notice.

🇮🇱💸 Money talks: How the AIPAC tail wags the dog of American politics

Simple math: The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) spends millions lobbying the US Congress — while Israel receives billions from the US government.

Who are the major recipients?

OpenSecrets' 2024 top recipients of AIPAC cash in the 118th Congress speak volumes:

🐘 Republican House leadership

👉 Speaker Mike Johnson — $618,530
Supports Israel aid legislation; fast-tracked an extra $14B in aid in 2023.

👉 Majority Leader Steve Scalise — $473,758
Routinely pushes military aid for Israel amid the Gaza war.

👉 Majority Whip Tom Emmer — $454,467
Championed aid bills; sought to hold Biden “accountable” for insufficient support in 2024.

👉 Conference Chair Elise Stefanik — $359,494
Pushes for more cash for Israel. Claims Israel has a "biblical right" to all of the West Bank.

👉 Policy Chair Gary Palmer — $33,250
Backed aid; called Israel’s June strike on Iran “self-defense.”

🫏 Democratic House leadership

👉 Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries — $866,425
Supports military funding to Israel, led AIPAC-funded trips to Israel to support PM Benjamin Netanyahu and equated criticism of Israel to antisemitism

👉 Minority Whip Katherine Clark — $371,347
Firm supporter of Israel. Pushed the Strengthening Israel–US Alliance Act: $3.8B in unconditional aid in 2024.

👉 Caucus Chair Pete Aguilar — $620,898
Also backed the $3.8B bill and the Stop Anti-Semitism on College Campuses Act to silence US student dissent against Gaza War last year.

♦️ AIPAC’s total 2024 contributions: $53M

♦️ $31.5M to Democratic candidates

♦️ $21M to Republican candidates

♦️ Endorsed 361 candidates—including every leader of both parties

🇺🇸Over the past 24 hours, eight "sleeping" Bitcoin wallets have awakened, for the first time in 14 years — they withdrew 80,009 BTC for $8.69 billion.

First, the movement began from four addresses (10,000 BTC each), then two more joined, and finally two more. All the coins were received in 2011 at a rate of $0.78 to $3.37.

Another four similar wallets are still silent. This is the largest awakening of old wallets in years.

It is assumed that these assets belong to Ross Ulbricht, the owner of the anonymous drug platform Silk Road.

Ulbricht had been serving a life sentence since May 28, 2015, but was pardoned by US President Donald Trump on January 22, 2025.

🇫🇷 Surgeon who announced Brigitte Macron's transgender transformation found dead in Paris - Enquete du jour.

It turned out that 58-year-old François Faivre fell out of the window of his apartment. His sister Anne Dupont claims that François was not suicidal and that his death is likely related to the revealing interview he was about to give soon.

François Faivre was a colleague of the famous doctor specializing in transgender transformations Patrick Bouilly. It was his joint photos with Brigitte Macron that formed the basis of the corresponding "conspiracy theory" that she used to be a man.

Lippman Gap = Imperial Overstretch

As Sorche Faal has observed, the Western media has rediscovered something called “the Lippman Gap”. The University at Albany-State University of New York historical document “Imperial Evolution: Walter Lippmann And The Liberal Roots Of American Hegemony” reveals: “When Walter Lippmann became a founding editor of the New Republic in 1914, shortly after the outbreak of […]

🇬🇷🇬🇷 🏳️‍🌈 Seven Monasteries Reject Mitsotakis’ Visit To the Holy Mount Athos Over Same-Sex Marriage Law

In a rare and pointed stand, seven monasteries of Holy Mount Athos—Philotheou, Karakalou, Dochiariou, Gregoriou, Konstamonitou, Koutloumousiou, and Agios Pavlos—have formally declared they will not receive Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis during his planned visit to the Holy Mountain in early July.

While Mount Athos typically remains above the fray of partisan politics, this unified move is anything but routine. The monks are reacting directly to the same-sex marriage and adoption law passed by Mitsotakis’s government in February—a bill that was pushed through Parliament despite significant public opposition, especially from the Church and Orthodox faithful across Greece and the diaspora.

During a recent session of the Holy Community, the seven monasteries issued letters denouncing the government’s legislation as contrary to Orthodox Christian teaching, particularly in its provisions for child adoption by same-sex couples. Monastic leaders argued the law offends the moral foundations of Hellenic society and betrays the country’s spiritual heritage.

A monk familiar with the proceedings was quoted saying: “This law was not just passed without consensus—it was passed despite it. It disregards the Orthodox conscience of the people.”

Mitsotakis had announced the visit as a spiritual pilgrimage, with stops planned in Iviron, Vatopedi, Xenophontos, and an overnight stay at Simonopetra. While some of these monasteries appear willing to host him, the absence of the seven dissenting monasteries from the official welcoming committee effectively strips the visit of its ceremonial unity.

The symbolism matters. The last time a Greek Prime Minister visited Mount Athos with full honors was a moment of national consensus. This time, the monks are sending a message: Athos will not legitimize legislation that contradicts the Orthodox ethos, even from a government traditionally seen as center-right and friendly to the Church.

"Before AIPAC. Before Netanyahu speeches to Congress. Before John Hagee filled stadiums with Evangelical Christians waving Israeli flags—there was a man named Cyrus Scofield.

"A grifter-turned-theologian. A failed lawyer. A convicted forger. A man with no formal theological training. And in 1909, with the backing of Oxford University Press and several well-connected Zionist financiers, he published the most politically consequential Bible in modern history; A book that didn’t just annotate noscripture. It rewired the faith of a nation."

“We have come from God, and inevitably the myths woven by us, though they contain error, will also reflect a splintered fragment of the true light, the eternal truth that is with God. Indeed only by myth-making, only by becoming 'sub-creator' and inventing stories, can Man aspire to the state of perfection that he knew before the Fall. Our myths may be misguided, but they steer however shakily towards the true harbour, while materialistic 'progress' leads only to a yawning abyss and the Iron Crown of the power of evil.”
