Two B-1B Long-Range heavy bombers have appeared now on flight radar 50 miles off the coast of Venezuela.

The bombers appear to be conducting strike rehearsals, likely in preparation for future strikes against Venezuela.

4 private planes have also departed Caracas just in the last 30 minutes. The activity is described by flight watchers as something they don’t remember seeing before.

Comes after news that the President is holding a televised round table with his national and homeland security teams at 2pm.

Venezuelan air defense systems are actively moving around, and that B-1 bombers are potentially in the air on the way to the region.

Operation CHAOS was a secret CIA program created in 1967 to investigate alleged foreign influence on American protest movements. Pressured by Presidents Johnson and Nixon, the CIA expanded the project far beyond its original purpose, collecting massive amounts of data on U.S. citizens in violation of its legal charter.

By the early 1970s, the operation had 13,000 files (including 7,200 on Americans) and indexed over 300,000 names, mostly domestic. Despite repeated findings that no significant foreign ties existed, the White House’s demands drove the CIA to increase surveillance, infiltrate activist groups, and share thousands of reports with the FBI and other agencies.

The program operated with extreme secrecy, minimal oversight, and direct presidential involvement. It continued until 1974, when Director William Colby shut it down.

The Rockefeller Commission concluded that Operation CHAOS violated the CIA’s authority, blurred the line between foreign and domestic intelligence, and exemplified how executive pressure and lack of accountability can lead to unlawful surveillance. They made recommendations but nothing changed.

In essence: Operation CHAOS revealed how fear of subversion and political pressure can turn a foreign intelligence agency inward, against its own citizens. And this is happening today.
