I’m disturbed to hear talk of FedGov soon to take control of food distribution, and even ration it.

They would need a massive media campaign to convince people that there is no other way.

Ayn Rand's novels have immense explanatory power for the situation we face in the world today.

Atlas Shrugged, her magnum opus, is a grand adventure story with great depth and breadth, but The Fountainhead has much better characters, including a more admirable protagonist, Howard Roark, and her best character of all, the villainous Ellsworth Toohey.

I highly recommend reading The Fountainhead, at least, if you're not familiar with Ayn Rand's literary work. Roark is the intransigent individualist archetype perfected; a noble producer, who lives by his own judgement and works for the sake of the pleasure of working, not for the sake of pleasing, nor ruling, others. Toohey is the master manipulator, highly intelligent, and utterly devoid of values beyond a craving for power and a willingness to distort reality in the minds of the public in order to attain it.

The Tooheys of the world are currently in charge of "society". The Roarks of the world will build the future, out of the ashes of this dying "civilisation". Enjoy the book! I hope you stand taller after reading it.

Administrators of Central Maine Healthcare in Lewiston, Maine, implemented a vaccine mandate demanding all employees to get the Covid-19 vaccine. However, more than 250 workers refused to comply before the deadline, resulting in their termination.

Unfortunately for patients, about 170 of the employees were needed to staff the ICU. Consequently, the hospital had to shut down the ICU because of the firings.

As it lost so many employees, the hospital plans on cutting ICU care beds by 50% and reducing the number of medical-surgical beds by 40%, the Bangor Daily News reported.
