"The Adelaide University researchers tried their best to be noncommittal in describing the activities of the fake Twitter accounts, although they had found the vast majority – over 90 percent – were anti-Russian messages. They stated: ‘Both sides in the Ukrainian conflict use the online information environment to influence geopolitical dynamics and sway public opinion.’"

Forwarded from Tara Ross: This Day in History (history)
On this day in 1929, renowned aviator Jimmy Doolittle completes the first blind flight. Today, airplanes make instrument landings all the time. But did you ever consider? Someone had to be the first to throw caution to the winds and actually try it. That someone was Doolittle.

Perhaps you recognize his name? He would later famously conduct a raid over Tokyo during World War II.

More AI dabbling. I used the "trad-girl wojack doodle" as a seed, and the Stable Diffusion AI was able to generate these images from it.

The traditional village of Syrrako in Greece. With such dense buildings it seems that it is medieval, but most of what we see arose after 1821 - during the Greek War of Independence only 5 buildings in the entire village were not damaged.

How a taxi used to work in 1943

Imagine this, taxi cars were fully electric and there were specific service stops where the taxi driver would stop, they take apart certain things, take out the battery, put in a replacement battery, and in 5 minutes the taxi driver moves on.

When next car arrives at the service stop, the battery would be full and handed over to another taxi driver.

It’s funny, I was banned from everything but never banned for breaking the rules. I don’t N post, etc. I was always banned for who I am in real life. Which I’m proud of, of course.

Let’s all enjoy watching these people get banned for breaking well known, stated, and consistently enforced rules like not labeling impersonation accounts as “satire/parody”. Even the most obvious joke accounts on Twitter do this because everyone knows you have to.

Yes, they’ll be back and yes it’s done on purpose to generate outrage headlines against Elon. But losing their account still scares these people. They are not like us. So enjoy.
