18-Year-Old soldier who escorted the coffin of Queen Elizabeth II dies suddenly at Army barracks

“According to reports on Friday, September 30, teenage soldier Jack Burnell-Williams died suddenly and unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 28 in a death that is ‘not being treated as suspicious’ by police.

Ambulance crews were called to the barracks at around 3.48 pm according to local reports, however, despite the best efforts of paramedics, the teenager was pronounced dead at the scene.”

My wife graduated from college in China in 1983. She married me and came to join me in New York three years later. She kept in touch with her college classmates somehow, though — mainly by snail mail — all through the eighties and nineties.

With the rise of the internet around the turn of the century, she was able to email them. Then, when Chinese social media came up in the early 2010s, she joined the most popular platform, WeChat. She set up a WeChat group for herself and her friends in China, and they gossiped away happily for ten years.

Then, a few days ago, she couldn't access the group. The ChiComs have wiped it out.

From WeChat conversations relayed back to me by my spouse over the years I don't believe that she and her classmates were plotting to overthrow the Chinese government. I don't think they talked Chinese politics at all.

I know that in 2020 judges didn't really do much to help with the situation, but it seems like the states where these shenanigans happened have gotten a lot more brazen about it this time around, maybe things will be different with judges this time around just from the sheer brazenness of it this time?

You cannot hate someone who looks this unfortunate. It’s not Christian. Think about what his life has been like. The kind thing to do is hide him where no one will encounter him accidentally, so he doesn’t frighten children and we don’t have to worry about triggering cardiac arrests in the elderly or the vaccinated. In the Middle Ages, that would have been a bell tower, but these days we send our hunchbacks, mental deficients and general hopeless cases to Capitol Hill. Give him a nice office somewhere and a big box of Lego and leave him in peace, I say.
