“Amazon plans to lay off approximately 10,000 people in corporate and technology jobs starting as soon as this week, people with knowledge of the matter said, in what would be the largest job cuts in the company’s history.

The cuts will focus on Amazon’s devices organization, including the voice-assistant Alexa, as well as at its retail division and in Human Resources.”

Zebra stripes act as a natural bug repellant.

One 2012 report published in the Journal of Experimental Biology suggests that zebras' black and white stripes may be an evolutionary feature to fend off harmful horsefly bites. When I was a kid, I’d raid the pantry and eat an entire box of poptarts. When my mom confronted me, I’d give a little admission but blame most of it on my brother. “I had ONE package. I definitely didn’t eat the whole box.” With no evidence, my brother would be left holding the bag and get chewed out for what I had done.

By admitting some culpability, it’s easy to throw someone off the trail. “Slightly elevated risk of myocarditis and pericarditis” is dishonest. This is the establishment being forced to admit there is “some” risk without having to concede that people are dropping like flies because of this stuff. Don’t be fooled by the slight admissions you read in the media.
