He has no concept of listening to evidence and making up your own mind.

To him it's whose opinion do you trust?

The "Persuasion Expert" made up his mind based on who was more persuasive, not who had the better evidence and more reasonable case.

🇷🇺🇨🇳 Analysts of the World Gold Council: China and Russia have become the largest savers of the precious metal. The central banks of the two countries are buying gold at the fastest pace since 1967.

The last time this level of buying was seen was a historic turning point for the global monetary system, accelerating the demise of the Bretton Woods system, which pegged the value of the US dollar to the precious metal.

The main message is that Russia and China no longer want to rely on the US dollar as their main reserve asset.

🇨🇳🇹🇼 In something of a farce, it has emerged components of Taiwanese anti ship missiles were sent to mainland China for repairs. Known as Hsiung Feng 3, these missiles are a major element in Taiwan’s arsenal to deter naval landings by the PLA but use Swiss gyroscopes from Leica Geosystems. The oversight occurred as a result of Leica sending them for repair in China instead of Switzerland itself as planned.

Adding to the irony, it is alleged this was only noticed by Taiwanese authorities after their return by tracing the send location to a facility in Shandong in the PRC.
