🇷🇺🇺🇦🇺🇲 An American mercenary was destroyed in Bakhmut (Artemovsk)

Pete Reed, 34, was killed Thursday when a shell or rocket hit his car. Presumably, it was as a result of this incident that two mercenaries from Norway were also wounded.

In the past, Pete Reed served in the US Marine Corps, in which he twice went to Afghanistan. After being transferred to the reserve from the end of 2015, he participated in the fighting in Iraq in the ranks of the Kurdish armed formations.

In total, at least 20 US mercenaries were killed during a special military operation in Ukraine.

🇺🇸💰 The CEO of Bank of America, America's second-largest bank, has stated his company has begun to prepare for the United States to default on its debt obligations.

"We have to be prepared for that, not only in this country but in other countries around the world," Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan told Poppy Harlow on "CNN This Morning" Monday. "You hope it doesn't happen, but hope is not a strategy — so you prepare for it."

This comes after U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen warned Congress recently that the country could default on its financial obligations as soon as June if the debt ceiling is not raised before then. Yellen further said such an event would trigger a "global financial crisis". The Treasury Department is also now taking "extraordinary measures" to continue paying bills on time while talks continue in Congress.
