🇷🇺 The Danish state broadcaster DR complains that Russian reconnaissance ships are allegedly preparing sabotage on the maritime infrastructure of Northern Europe.

According to the publication, citing sources in the security services and experts, Russian military and civilian ships are allegedly mapping offshore wind farms, gas pipelines, power and Internet cables in the waters around Denmark, Norway, Finland and Sweden. According to DR, this is a preparation for future sabotage actions.

An example is the research vessel Admiral Vladimirsky, which sailed around the Baltic Sea, the Great Belt, Kattegat and the North Sea for a month with the transponder turned off, constantly sending radio transmissions to the Russian Navy base. Similar patterns of movement were observed for other vessels.

When journalists tried to get closer to the Admiral Vladimirsky, a Russian soldier in a bulletproof vest and with an AK-12 assault rifle came on deck.

Vapor cones are created by a shockwave that is generated by the aircraft as it picks up speed. The shock waves are the physical effects of the aircraft travelling so fast through air. As the aircraft picks up speed, and approaches the speed of sound, shockwaves form around the aircraft.

Across these shockwaves there is ‘discontinuity’ in the local air pressure and temperature. This causes the air to lose its capacity to hold water and condensation starts to form, creating the vapor cone.

I've been in France for three months now. Their approach to this is simply fantastic.

I'd like to share a bit about it.

A very well known supermarket here decided to go cashless.

A group of 50 people got together and agreed that they would all do a big shop on the same day. Pilling their trolleys to the brim and each person getting to the checkout - the human check out, not the machines - and having everything scanned before bringing cash out.

The staff were absolutely overrun. There management in a complete tizz, everyone repeatedly, calmly and in a very organised and polite fashion acting as if they knew nothing. No edges, no rudeness, no humiliation.

The supermarket reinstated cash.
.....

Petrol stations : filling up with fuel then only having cash to pay.

......

Restaurants : groups of friends going out for dinner and nobody taking phones or credit cards, only cash ...

.....

They are doing it in every single area of France. Simply refusing to be part of it.

TikTok declares war on ‘climate misinformation’

The short-video platform said it would promote “authoritative” content instead

The new policy was announced in a blog post about “driving sustainability awareness” ahead of the environmentalist holiday. Believing it has “an important role to play in empowering informed climate discussions” on its platform, the company said it was rolling out “several initiatives that will help reduce harmful climate change misinformation while elevating authoritative information year-round.”

Starting Friday, content on the platform will be inspected for accuracy by TikTok’s “safety partners,” and labeled misinformation if it “undermines well-established scientific consensus,” such as “denying the existence of climate change or the factors that contribute to it,” the company said.
