ChatGPT just added a Plugin Store!

ChatGPT recently announced that they have started to gradually roll out plugins in their platform. It feels like these new additions give people a lot more options for how they can interact with the chatbot will replace more online services in course of time. The rollouts will begin with a small set of users, which will later expand gradually. Plugin developers who were invited from the waitlist can start creating Plugins for ChatGPT through documentation guide provided by OpenAI which sounds more scary. Let's see what crazy developers + ChatGPT will lead to 😩

TLDR It can now:
- browse the web (RIP Bing waitlist, cutoff)
- write and run Python (RIP replit?)
- access org info (RIP docsearch startups)
- add third party plugins from OpenTable, Wolfram, Instacart, Zapier, etc)
- developer SDK in preview

Gordon Moore, Intel co-founder and creator of Moore’s Law, has died

Gordon Moore, one of Intel’s co-founders and a Silicon Valley titan, died today at 94 years old. He was part of the “traitorous eight” who founded Fairchild Semiconductor, which became an incubator for many other Silicon Valley companies — including AMD. Moore and Robert Noyce, a fellow member of the eight, went on to found Intel, originally named Integrated Electronics, in 1968. He eventually became chairman and CEO of the company in 1979, and served as CEO for eight years.

Google Bard is a glimpse into a terrifyingly misinformed future

Generative AIs are all the rage recently, kickstarted by ChatGPT and followed up by Microsoft Bing. Since then, Google has seemingly sped up its own AI chat model development and released Bard in a limited fashion, and so far, it seems to be an inferior product to the rest of the competition. It struggles with basic questions, uses questionable sources, and in general, appears to be a bit of a half-baked product.
