Twitter puts "temporary" limit on number of tweets users can read everyday

Elon Musk's continued experimentation with Twitter's basic functions introduced new chaos on Saturday when "temporary limits" prevented some users reading from tweets.

Twitter has applied "temporary limits" to "address extreme levels of data scraping and system manipulation."

- Verified accounts are limited to reading 6000 posts/day
- Unverified accounts to 600 posts/day
- New unverified accounts to 300/day

Screenshots shared online show notifications telling users that they had exceeded a "rate limit" and to "wait a few moments" before trying to access more posts.

Twitter Users can do DDOS attack on Twitter itself

Twitter Owner, Elon Musk is adding useless features again and again to make people Subscribe to twitter Blue by paying 8$ per month.

He recently introduced 2 features:
1) Mandating users to create an account at twitter to view tweets
2) Introducing rate limits to view 1000 tweets per day to non-subscribers of twitter Blue

Now this made Twitter platform firing off about 10 requests per second to itself to try and fetch content that "never" arrives because of above features added by Great Elon Musk

You can see Network Console readout from Firefox showing all the network requests blasting away.
Because this data never comes back, it created a feedback loop that could be overloading their servers.

So, we get this comedy of errors resulting in the most epic of self-owns, aka the Self-DDOS
(attack done by Twitter on Twitter itself)

Apple's next AirPods Pro could feature a built-in temperature sensor

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports Apple is working on new health features for its line of audio products. The first of those would allow your AirPods to conduct a hearing test.

The other new AirPods feature Apple is working on is a way for the earbuds to measure your body temperature. A built-in temperature sensor was one of the features the company introduced with the Watch Series 8 and Watch Ultra. As for why Apple would replicate a feature already found on one of its existing products, a sensor can get a more accurate temperature reading from the ear canal than the wrist.

Gurman warns both features are “several months or even years away.” In the more immediate future, he reports Apple plans to refresh the AirPods Pro with a USB-C charging case, adding that all of the company’s audio products will eventually move away from Lighting as well.

Twitter blocks tweets from showing in Google Search, intentional or not

The change was first spotted by SearchEngineLand, which notes that Google Search is slowly removing search results from Twitter, starting with older tweets. Hundreds of millions of tweets dropped from Google Search over the course of the weekend, and a third-party tool also shows a steep drop too. SEL noted over 470 million results in Search from Twitter at the end of last week, a number that’s since dropped to under 200 million. We performed a similar search and saw just over 350 million, but it’s clear there’s a drop going on.

This is because Google can no longer “crawl” Twitter URLs, as proven by Google’s own testing tools.

It’s unclear if this is a change that’s been made intentionally by Twitter or just a side effect of Elon Musk basically turning Twitter into a private community. Either way, it’s a change that could have far-reaching negative effects.

Clippy returns with the power of ChatGPT: a third-party developer has revived it

Developers behind the Fire Cube Studios company have reintroduced Clippy, the iconic virtual assistant, to Windows 10 and Windows 11. This new version of Clippy is built on top of the GPT 3.5 model developed by OpenAI, and the project's source code is openly available on GitHub.

Originally introduced by Microsoft in 1997, Clippy quickly became a recognizable symbol of Microsoft Office software. However, the project was discontinued in 2005, and Clippy was subsequently removed from all apps.

The developers at Fire Cube Studios have created their own version of Clippy, leveraging the power of the GPT 3.5 model. This virtual assistant can answer user queries, provide Windows usage tips, and assist with various work and daily tasks. Clippy is currently compatible with Windows 10 and 11 machines, requiring an OpenAI token for operation.

Delhi HC asks Oppo to deposit 23% of India sales for infringing Nokia's patents

A two-judge bench of the Delhi High Court has ordered mobile phone manufacturer Oppo to deposit 23 percent of its India sales, within four weeks, for using Nokia's technology in its phones without the requisite consent. The bench arrived at the 23 percent figure after noting that Oppo's sales in India account for around 23 per cent of its global sales.

What is the case about?
Oppo had secured a licence from Nokia in 2018 for using some of its technology for a period of three years. Nokia alleged that after the expiry of the 2018 agreement, Oppo had
witnessed an unprecedented increase in the sale of its devices and had sold around 77 million devices in India without paying a single rupee in royalty.

Potential 500GB Nickelodeon Data Leak: Unreleased Shows and Scripts at Risk

According to several internet forums and tweets, approximately 500GB of data, including unreleased television shows, noscripts, and other materials, have been compromised.

Allegedly, the leaked data is said to have originated from Nickelodeon’s “consumer products and experience” portal. An authentication issue within the system allowed unauthorized users to gain access to the Nickelodeon animation department’s sensitive content.

The two individuals involved in the leak, known by their Discord usernames as “BowDown” and “IncidentalSeventy,” have reportedly faced action from either law enforcement or Nickelodeon itself.
