Nothing Phone (2)'s face unlock can be bypassed using a Cardboard Cutout!

A recent YouTube video by Joshua Chang has put the face unlock feature of several phones to test which includes Nothing Phone (2) as well. The video demonstrates that Nothing Phone (2) can be unlocked with a cardboard cutout of a person, while the other phones cannot be unlocked this way.

Google finally brings iOS's local weather feature to Maps on Android

Android users will soon be able to view real-time weather information within Google Maps, a feature that has been available for iOS users for years.

The feature appears as another tile in the search chips carousel. When you tap it, the app will open a new window that shows you the air quality at the location, as well as the weather forecast for the next few hours. The feature has yet to roll out widely.

It saddens me to share that our beloved community has faced some challenges and is now on its way to closure. X is starting to charge new users $1 per year to send tweets

The subnoscription requires new users to pay the equivalent of $1 USD per year in order to be able to post.

"As of October 17th, 2023 we’ve started testing 'Not A Bot,' a new subnoscription method for new users in two countries," X explains. "This new test was developed to bolster our already significant efforts to reduce spam, manipulation of our platform and bot activity. This will evaluate a potentially powerful measure to help us combat bots and spammers on X, while balancing platform accessibility with the small fee amount."

This fee is for new users only. Those who don’t pay will only be able to use X in a "read only" mode. It is currently being tested in New Zealand and the Philippines.

The company said that for now the fees will not apply to existing users.
