My experience in 7Hz G1, short review only

This is by far the best budget IEMs I've heard for 35$, considering the v-shaped tuning of it.

How's the Soundstage?
"The clear, evident and powerful presence of the macro detail and brighter elements that stand out in the foreground is superimposed on the micro detail in the background."
It is vivid in terms of gaming, but kind of aggressive into guns, I can tell. I still prefer KZ PR2 for playing VALORANT and CS2.

If you're into EDM, then this is what I can recommend. Sibilance is way too aggressive though, you might not like it. EQ it for your liking.

The eartips? It's good enough, I can keep it. Fits right in my ears. The size? Kind of big through my ear canal, it hurts me sometimes.

Overall tuning? Energetic, and technical low-end. Not balanced, but still powerful.

France fines Apple €150M for “excessive” pop-ups that let users reject tracking

France has imposed a €150 million fine on Apple because its App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework requires third-party publishers to get "double consent" for tracking, while Apple's own data collection only needs one pop-up.

This asymmetry is seen as making third-party app use overly complex and harming small publishers who rely on advertising revenue. This fine doesn't mandate immediate changes, leaving room for future adjustments. Also, investigations into ATT are ongoing in Germany, Italy, Poland, and Romania.

Apple is working on their most affordable laptop yet: MacBook Lite

Apple is working on the MacBook Lite, its most affordable laptop, to compete with Chromebooks. The leaks show that it will have a minimum of 64GB eMMC storage (upgradable to 512GB) with no SSD Option and 4GB RAM (max 12GB).

The base price is not confirmed, but it could be around $599. However, the main drawback is that macOS won’t be pre-installed, and users must purchase a separate $200 license. Apps would not be pre-installed and can be chosen during setup.

There will probably be no TouchID, but this isn't confirmed yet. MacBook Lite is targeted for students and budget buyers.

Microsoft is redesigning the Windows BSOD, and it might change to black

Microsoft is overhauling the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) as seen in Windows 11 Insider build, to align with Windows 11 design principles. The color might change to black in the stable release. It's not clear if it will remain black in the stable release.

It’s the first major change to the BSOD since Microsoft added a sad face to the screen in Windows 8. This new design includes the BSOD error or faulty driver, and simply states “your device ran into a problem and needs to restart.”

Windows Insiders can currently test it but it will appear green before it's shipped as a black or blue screen.

Files uploaded to JioCloud stay forever after deletion

According to u/AgentDarkFury on Reddit, files uploaded on JioCloud allegedly stay even after deleting them. They uploaded some files on JioCloud, deleted them, and emptied the trash as well.

Three months later, on uploading the same files, the files got uploaded instantly, even though the interface showed 0 GB used out of 100 GB. In the screen recording attached to this post, the ~400 MB clip got uploaded instantly with almost no network activity.

Windows 11 is getting a new redesigned Start menu

Windows 11's Start menu is getting a new, larger layout that fits everything on the single scrollable page. The All apps are placed on the same page as pinned apps and recommendations. The recommendations can be disabled as well.

The new layout limit pinned apps to two rows by default, but the section can be expanded if wanted. The new Start menu layout is work in progress, so it might contain bugs.

Microsoft hasn't announced this change yet, but it can be enabled via ViVeTool.

You can now officially unlock the bootloader of your Rabbit R1

It has been made possible to unlock the bootloader on rabbit R1 officially since 20th March 2025 by putting it into developer mode. However, putting R1 on developer mode permanently voids the device's warranty.

To put R1 in developer mode, you must contact customer support, and then use the Rabbit R1 Flash Tool to get into fastboot and unlock the bootloader. You can revert to rabbitOS at any time.

Currently, the custom ROM available for R1 is CipherOS by Aryan Sinha, whom rabbit asked to open source their kernel as well. Aryan worked with the rabbit team to enable stuff on R1 that wasn't possible before, like enabling calling, Native Camera Control, etc., converting the R1 to a fully functional phone.

NVIDIA PhysX and Flow libraries are now fully open source

NVIDIA has released its PhysX physics engine and Flow simulation tool as fully open-source under the permissive BSD 3 license.

With over 500 CUDA kernels powering features such as rigid body dynamics, fluid simulation, and deformable objects, GPU PhysX represents one of the most advanced real-time simulation use cases of CUDA and GPU programming. We hope this release will be a valuable resource for learning, experimentation, and development across the community.

In addition, we’re also open-sourcing the full GPU compute shader implementation of the Flow SDK, our real-time, sparse grid–based fluid simulation library.

Releasing the kernel source code will allow game developers to create optimized PhysX and Flow variants, while modders could use it to adapt legacy PhysX for unsupported RTX 50 GPUs via compatibility layers.

WhatsApp Will Soon Block Media Saving and Chat Exports for Better Privacy

The latest WhatsApp beta version 2.25.11.2 for Android has a new Advanced chat privacy feature, which blocks anyone trying to export a chat, showing a pop-up instead. With this enabled, media shared won't be saved on the recipient’s device automatically, handy for sensitive photos or videos.

It is not sure if this feature blocks screenshots or manually saving the file.

It will also let everyone know that you have turned on advanced chat privacy, whether it’s a one-on-one thread or a group chat.

Microsoft: Windows 'inetpub' folder created by security fix, don’t delete

Microsoft has confirmed that an April 2025 Windows security update is creating an empty inetpub folder. Microsoft has warned not to delete this folder, even if Internet Information Services (IIS) isn't active.

This update addresses CVE-2025-21204 which lets low‑privilege local attackers abuse symbolic links and perform/manipulate file management operations as NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM.

According to some users, the update fails if the C:\inetpub folder already exists. The folder, if deleted, can be recreated by enabling IIS in Windows Features.
